  I've been here a few times, and this is my first time writing a review. The ambience is warm and welcoming, though it's mostly quiet during the week. The Amritsari kulcha is my favorite so far, followed closely by the gunpowder dosa and the dahi puri. The paneer makhani was a little too sweet for my taste. Service could be a bit better. Given how quiet weekdays are, I suspect they're just lightly staffed, so it's understandable. I'll keep coming back, especially for that kulcha.

  Came here for happy hour and it was awesome! It was $10 cocktails, the lychee 75 was so delightful. Love the butter chicken slider, the kulcha and the chili paneer was delicious. Loved that it has some intense spiciness as well. Will definitely return!

  We started with Dahi Puri, Sabudana Vada, and Peri-Peri Fries, and the appetizers were decent—freshly prepared, well presented, and flavorful. Unfortunately, the main course was a complete disappointment. The Mushroom Fried Rice was undercooked, hard, strangely watery, and lacked flavor. We specifically asked for the egg on the side, but it came on top. When we mentioned it, they simply removed the same egg and placed it on a separate plate. The Chicken Biryani was the worst part. Some of the rice was extremely hard and seemed like dried rice scraped from the bottom of the handi and mixed in just to complete the portion. When we complained, we could clearly see that they were preparing another fresh handi of biryani. The server then said he would taste that biryani and tell us how it was. Obviously, tasting a freshly prepared batch doesn’t address the problem with the biryani that was actually served to us. It felt like a silly way of avoiding our complaint. He also mentioned that only a small portion of our rice was bad and the rest was okay. For a $25 biryani with a small portion, that’s simply unacceptable. Service was equally disappointing. We were practically the only customers, yet we had to call multiple times or even get up to ask for something while the staff were talking among themselves or on their phones. Definitely not a fine-dining experience. The starters were decent, but the main course, response to our complaint, and inattentive service made this one of our worst dining experiences.

  What a wonderful restaurant!!!! It was so good, we forgot taking the pictures but that must intrigue you to come here and try the food! We had the vada pav, shrimp koliwada, chilli chicken, lamb vindaloo and malabar parotta. For dessert we had the saffron cheesecake and drinks we had the fusion cocktails which were unique and tatsy. The food was absolutely fantastic, everything tasted closer to home, and perfectly good! Ambience was great and service top notch, very friendly and accommodating! Must try in River North, best Indian restaurant.

  There is a great mix of authentic Indian dishes and creative Indian fusion options. We ordered the biryani and the butter chicken croquettes, and both were absolutely delicious and well-prepared. For drinks, my wife had the Mango Sangria, which was rich in authentic mango flavor, while I ordered the Malabar Old Fashioned. Unfortunately, the Old Fashioned was quite heavy on alcohol and lacked distinct flavor. Overall, the food quality, service, and atmosphere were great. While it is on the pricier side for the portion sizes, it is definitely worth a try!
