  The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Dalia provided excellent service—she was very friendly, attentive, and professional. I highly recommend Baba Saj and will definitely be back!

  As much as the food is decent, the wait time at this location is absurd! You could be looking at 30 minutes to over an hour for your order!! Thankfully, the front staff of the building was very kind and candid about the wait time and why it was taking so long, but it sucks hearing that a single shawarma sandwich was going to take 35+ minutes. I say if you're going to order from this location order 30 to 45 minutes in advance or expect a long wait!

  Absolutely love Baba Saj! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with great quality ingredients. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the saj. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and provided excellent service. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable, and you can tell they really care about their customers. Definitely one of the best spots for authentic Middle Eastern food. Highly recommended — I’ll absolutely be coming back!

  The food was honestly 11/10, but what made the experience even better was the human touch and incredible service. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. If you’re looking for a true Middle Eastern experience in Chicago, Baba Saj is absolutely worth visiting. And the shawarma? So good it honestly tasted even better than the one back home! Every bite brought back that familiar Middle Eastern flavor I was craving. But beyond the food, the hospitality is what really stood out. A very special thank you to Dalia for being so warm, kind, and attentive. She made us feel genuinely welcomed and added such a personal touch to the whole experience. I truly can’t recommend Baba Saj enough. Amazing food, authentic flavors, and exceptional people. 11/10
