  Aztec Dave’s went above and beyond in supporting our school’s Quinceañera event by generously donating so much food and supplies to help make the day special for our students and families. Their kindness, support, and willingness to give back to the community truly meant so much to all of us. And the FOOD… absolutely incredible! Everything was a huge hit — from the quesadillas to the churros and everything in between. The rice, beans, and elote were all amazing and full of flavor. You can truly tell they put care into everything they make. Our staff, students, and school community are so grateful to Aztec Dave’s and their entire team for helping make this celebration unforgettable. This place is an absolute MUST, and we will definitely be back to celebrate more good times in the future. Thank you again, Aztec Dave’s!!!

  Probably some of the best Quesabirria I’ve had in Chicago. It was constructed differently than others I’ve had I will say, so it was very messy to eat but it sure did taste great. Margaritas were also good. Unfortunately our table was pretty dirty and basically has to clean it ourselves before feeling comfortable to eat there.

  The staff is super attentive and kind here! Jackie was personable and care that we had everything we needed. The flautas were crispy on the outside with SO much filling. Usually flauta filling can be a bit dry, not here! It was juicy and so flavorful! Guac was flavorful and they were generous with it. The drinks were delicious and a bit on the sweeter side. Loveee and will be back.

  Our family a party of 11, came to celebrate our cousin's Birthday. In life their are hits and misses Aztec Dave's Cantine was a big miss. Our server was Jackie she tried yet failed and failed big last 2ppl in our party arrived 10mins after we did they received their orders before us that were sitting and had ordered, when I asked Jackie she seemed confused I then reminded her of the drink I ordered as well as the taco dinner 2 steak 1 shrimp taco , others in the party proceeded to repeat their orders she apologized stating the kitchen was bagged up that was a flop because restaurant was not even half full 2ppl sat at bar and one other table so how could it get mixed up that was the 2nd excuse Jackie gave when other's at the table received their meal finally my order came , it was wrong they gave me 2 fish tacos I bite into one and I am allergic to most fish. I can eat shell fish hence why I order shrimp taco had to down 2 benadryl. My cousins torsta was burnt not even consumable had to send it back. By the time I received my meal it was time to go again Jackie keep apologizing with the same excuses her Manager Dave told her we ask to speak with him yet he wasn't there. Jackie said she call and was instructed not to comp the meal because I finally received it. Jackie did give us shots yet that didn't adhere to the fact I had a meal I couldn't enjoy with my family nor at home I tossed it because I don't trust restaurants they get upset when food comes back to the kitchen. I take my health serious not to say they did yet it could happen all in all $40, was wasted. I nor my family will never dawn Azrec Dave's Cantina again. Buyer beware.

  I came to Aztec Dave Cantina with my family for my birthday. The atmosphere was nice chilled. I was hoping for a better service experience. There were a few hiccups in the beginning which is understandable but continued until the very end of our meal. I spoke with our server Jackie in regard to the constant forgetfulness of our orders. She apologized but continued making the same mistakes. Mind you there were only a few tables in the entire restaurant. A few dishes came out but were missing a few items. Two people in our party showed up and received their drinks and food before the person who ordered 10 minutes before. Jackie seemed to give excuses than diffuse the problem. I asked to speak with the manager Dave. She informed me that he left but spoke to her over the phone and stated that he was not going to comp one of the meals. Although it was sent back to the kitchen several times. Jackie gave every excuse for her lack of support from Dave. She’s only following the orders of a manager who wasn’t present in the event of an issue. She did provide shots but that doesn’t negate the fact that the service wasn’t up to par. I will never go back to a restaurant that don’t value their customers.
