  I was on a 22.5 hour round-trip from Jersey County, Illinois to Chicago and return. It was late in the evening of 17 May 2026 (about 2015 CDT) when I arrived at the Champaign, Illinois Outback Restaurant. I was beyond tired from a long day and needed some quiet time and a good meal. I was seated in a quiet place and had an excellent meal and service. I am an older customer and am very particular about my food and its preparation. I ordered a 6 ounce filet, highly caramelized on the outside and "blue-rare" in the center. My sides were: a baked potato with butter only, and with my salad served after my meal. Everything was done exactly as ordered, and was prepared especially well!! Haley was my bar tender and Casey was my waitress. Both of these young ladies treated me kindly and with great respect. Rickey was the manager on duty and came by my table - just to see how I was doing. This is one of the best meals and service I have ever had in a public restaurant. I was also granted an exceptional "Veteran's" discount. I extend my thanks to all who were involved. Very respectfully, Michael Allen

  I wasn’t gonna write a review last night, but I woke up still pissed so I decided to go ahead & write it. I ordered $90 worth of food from here last night and my meal was completely messed up. I had ordered the sirloin & shrimp with “seasoned” rice & a baked potato. First off, I’m white but that was the most unseasoned, bland rice I’ve ever had. They forgot my baked potato entirely. The shrimp tasted like somebody had dipped it in toilet water then rubbed it on their dirty armpits & decided to slap it on a piece of bread & serve it. Now lastly, the sirloin. I almost threw up when I saw it. I had ordered it medium well, but it literally wasn’t cooked at all. If I wanted raw meat I would have just texted my man. 0/10 will never try again. Save yourself & go to Texas Roadhouse instead.

  The steaks here are some of the best l have ever had. I get my steaks without seasoning as l don't do spicy. We all got steaks filet for my mom med well, bone in ribeye for wife med rare and NY for me med rare, absolutely no complaints from anyone. Great place will return without question.

  What a wonderful surprise I found coming to this restaurant. Never been before, food and service were outstanding. Haeley our server recommended the coconut shrimp, you shouldn’t miss that when you come. We loved Outback Steakhouse!

  We showed up a tad later than we wanted. We were sat, and then waited to be greeted by, well, anyone. After about 20min (no, I am NOT exaggerating) I decided to go find someone when our server walked up to the table. Now, I have served before and the late tables get lost unfortunately when/if there is a host and they don’t tell the server they have been sat. From that moment on, our night was better than originally expected! Now I won’t say everything that was done for us, however, the manager took the time to come to us multiple times and looked out for us after the incident, but SARAH really did her thing and we just wanted to share how what presumably could have been a total disaster turned out to still be a great night!!!
