  I visited this location Sunday 9/28/2026 1:46pm-2pm there were 3 employees who were male teenagers and personally witnessed an interaction that was extremely upsetting and unprofessional. I was disturbed by the way the employees handled a customer who apparently did not respond immediately to a question. Rather than respectfully repeating the question or attempting to clarify , the employee appeared frustrated and proceeded to select the donuts for the customer without properly communicating with them. Once the customer corrected them the employee said “ i asked you”and threw the box. From a medical and customer-service perspective, this is especially concerning. You cannot assume that someone is ignoring you, being difficult, or simply not paying attention. There are many reasons a person may not respond immediately, including hearing impairment-being hard of hearing (HOH), communication difficulties, cognitive limitations, or other medical circumstances that may not be visible. Basic customer-service training should teach employees to remain patient, repeat themselves when necessary, and communicate respectfully. Frustration is understandable but it is not an excuse for disrespectful behavior toward customers. I understand that some of these employees appear to be teenagers but being young does not excuse unprofessional disgusting conduct. If employees are representing a business they should be expected to leave their personal frustrations at home and treat every customer with basic patience and respect. As a customer, I found the behavior unacceptable, and it has made me reconsider returning to this location.

  Decided to try a new dunkin location today as I was nearby, and i will never come again. I was attended by a young and short teenager, and he had attitude straight off the bat. He was speaking in such a low tone I couldn't understand him and he got irritated I couldnt hear him. He then proceeded to pick out my own donuts so I reminded him im the one that picks my donuts so he threw that box away then let me choose but kept cutting me off saying "next." Im surprised he still has a job considering his customer service skills are terrible.

  1/5 Stars — Avoid the Schmale Road Dunkin' at all costs. I know I will and I LOVE LOVE LOOOOVVVVEEEE my Dunkin! I honestly can’t remember the last time I was treated this poorly by a business. What should have been a quick fix for a messed-up coffee turned into a masterclass in how to alienate customers. Last Sunday, I went into the Schmale Road location in Carol Stream and ordered a coffee, but they completely botched it. I called them the same day to let them know. The woman on the phone was pleasant enough—she told me not to worry she will tell her manager, took down my name, and assured me I wouldn't even need a receipt to grab my free replacement drink. I asked if she was positive about the receipt and she said yes I do NOT need it. Fast forward four days later. I called in the morning just to double-check that my name was still in the system. The person who answered was shockingly rude, told me flat-out that they "don't take names," and hung up on me. Stunned, I called back later that afternoon to report getting hung up on. Instead of an apology, the manager got on the phone, claimed they "never heard any complaints," and—unbelievably—hung up on me too. RUDE MUCH! Before cutting me off, the manager tried to grill me about why I waited "a week" (it had only been four days thank you very much, but who's counting?) and demanded a receipt, completely contradicting what their own employee had told me earlier about not needing one. Hanging up on paying customers is just gross incompetence and pure disrespect. What ever happened to the customer is always right? Rude Rude and just plain RUDE! I’m never going back to this location, and corporate seriously needs to take a look at who they've put in charge of running this store. Save your time and your peace of mind and go somewhere else.

  We come from far to this branch because we have always had a good experience, but recently, this shop has been closing almost an hour early and it is serving a lot of problems for me and my child. Their timings say closing at 8pm, but by 7pm, the shop is locked and practically closed for the day. We would appreciate if this branch would not close down so early because beside all these issues, it is a really good branch.
