As the leaders in drive-thru for over 30 years Checkers & Rally’s locations are currently open and ready to serve our guests. We can provide our guests with the additional safety of an enclosed kitchen and limited personal contact – whether you choose to drive up, order ahead online, or have our food delivered. In response to concerns around the Coronavirus we have closed the few dining rooms that exist in the Checkers & Rally’s system and are limiting the number of people on our patio and at our walk-up windows. We are reinforcing our policies, including frequent and proper handwashing, along with the proper utilization and changing of gloves as we continue to serve our guests.

To characterize my recent expedition to the Checkers in Bolingbrook as "disappointing" would constitute a monumentally charitable act of linguistic understatement. It was less a dining experience and more an existential symposium on culinary ineptitude, organizational entropy, and the inexorable collapse of civilization, one chicken sandwich at a time. I approached the establishment with the quaint, almost childlike expectation that when one orders a **crispy** chicken sandwich, one might actually receive a **crispy** chicken sandwich. Instead, I was presented with its grilled doppelgänger, as though accuracy in order fulfillment had been relegated to the realm of speculative fiction. In retrospect, however, this gastronomic bait-and-switch was largely immaterial. The sandwich itself possessed all the culinary charisma of damp insulation, leading me to suspect that no conceivable cooking methodology—not frying, grilling, roasting, smoking, sous vide, or intervention by Michelin-starred sorcery—could have salvaged the enterprise. The ambience deserves its own ignominious dissertation. The restaurant exuded an aura of institutional despondency so pervasive that one half expected tumbleweeds to roll through the dining room while a lone violin lamented softly in the distance. Meanwhile, the adjacent parking lot appeared to function as an unofficial congregation site for an assortment of itinerant loiterers, creating the unmistakable impression that the establishment remains operational not to serve hamburgers, but to provide a publicly accessible lavatory to anyone wandering within a quarter-mile radius. One cannot help but admire the consistency with which every conceivable facet of the experience converged upon mediocrity. The service was apathetic, the food was forgettable, the atmosphere was dystopian, and the overall operation conveyed the unmistakable sensation that everyone involved had collectively abandoned hope several fiscal quarters ago. To patronize this location is to embark upon a Sisyphean quest in which the only prize awaiting you is regret, mild indigestion, and a lingering desire to apologize to your digestive tract. Bolingbrook is replete with establishments possessing demonstrably superior standards of competence, cleanliness, and respect for the fundamental social contract that governs restaurants. Therefore, I issue this admonition with all the solemnity of an imperial decree: avoid this Checkers with unwavering conviction. Circumnavigate it. Detour around it. If your navigation system proposes it as a destination, question the judgment of the satellites themselves. There exists no sandwich so compelling, no craving so insatiable, nor no coupon so magnanimous that it justifies voluntarily subjecting oneself to this monument of gastronomic futility.

"This eats different"; But not like the good kind of different. I've worked within a mile of this place for many many years and never bothered going, so we went so you don't have too. The inside has damaged counters, wobbly tables, and definitely has the "It had better days" vibe to it... The front end person was hopefully very new, but also primarily on their phone any time they were not actively providing food. The cook was trying to help him out and train him on things, I appreciate that he clearly was helping hold the place together at this point. The "Chocolate Shake" was just soft serve with chocolate syrup hand mixed with a plastic fork... Maybe this is the way it's supposed to be, maybe it's not? But was comical at best to watch and tasted sub par anyways. The Cheesteak and potato bites were both basically just fried shells filled with beige mush; this is not a location issue, this is a fundamental "the quality of food" issue since the location is literally just putting this stuff in a Fryer and it was cooked correctly. Even the fountain drink tasted syrupy and out of correct normal mixture. The chicken strips and fries were both OK, but on their own not a good enough reason to come here over litereally anywhere else. Price wise; yes, it's cheaper than say Portillos down the block, but I cannot say I'd ever come back based on value alone. To the owner of this location since I see some responses here so I hope they will read this; regardless of staffing challenges or needed repairs for the given location, the food quality is poor well beyond any kind of value prop here and Checkers needs to do better.

STAY AWAY. Two of my burgers that I ordered had nothing on them except for a slice of cheese and had the buns put on wrong. One of them had two tops and one had two bottoms the food was just thrown together, and there was no customer service when I tried to call to address this. I paid $45 for this meal. Don’t waste your money here you could buy the bag of fries at the store.

Every time I come to this location, it’s unorganized and unprofessional. You have a bunch of teenagers who aren’t doing their jobs. I ordered my food through the automated ordering system, and there was only one car in front of me, yet I still waited over 20 minutes. When I finally got to the window, the employee took my phone for payment, then came back and asked me what I ordered because he thought the system didn’t take my order. If you’re having issues with the automated ordering system, then why not just have employees take orders the regular way? There is absolutely no reason I should be waiting over 20 minutes, only for no one to even have my order. This location clearly needs better management and employees who are professional and know how to do their jobs. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location.
