- DMDiane Martin4 days ago5.0Today for lunch we split a Momma’s Chopped Salad and a Chicken Caprese sandwich. Both were exceptionally delicious. The dressing on each dish was unique and fresh tasting. But the Tiramisu we split was simply the best either of us had ever eaten anywhere. Being trained Home Economists we know food and cannot recommend the restaurant enough. Our Server was attentive and patient with us since we split everything and took our leftovers home. Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

The real reason we’re leaving five stars is our server, Meli. Genuinely one of the best we’ve had. Polite, funny, checked in just enough without hovering. She made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. Good food is expected. A server who actually makes the night better? That’s harder to find. We’ll be back. A big part of that is because of her.

The wife had the minestrone soup and the tossed salad, and I had the Italian beef sandwich. Wow!! Very delicious. When I used to live near Highwood I would go to Buffos. And then Portillos. Loved their Italian beef. But the one last night was much better. And twice the size. The soup and salad were also great. Definitely will visit again when in the area.

We had a bunch of pizza delivered for my son’s bday party. Two of the pizzas got ruined during delivery. Called and manager sent two new pizzas without much debate.
