I come here constantly, spend my money here constantly, and have never had an experience this disrespectful until today. I ordered avocado toast through the drive-thru. The employee didn’t hear me, so I spoke up so she could hear my order. Apparently, simply speaking louder because someone didn’t hear you is now considered “yelling.” She proceeded to tell me, “You don’t have to say it like and in a rude tone.” Excuse me? I wasn’t screaming at you. I wasn’t cursing at you. I wasn’t being disrespectful. YOU DIDN’T HEAR MY ORDER, SO I SPOKE UP. That’s it. Then, when I got to the window, I asked for her name because I wanted to make a complaint about how I was being treated. She REFUSED to give me her name. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and instead of the supervisor actually addressing the situation, she told me she saw nothing wrong with the employee’s behavior. So apparently, at this location, employees can be rude to customers, refuse to identify themselves, and management will simply stand behind them and pretend nothing happened. I even asked for a corporate number or SOMEONE above the supervisor that I could speak to. I was refused that information too. Absolutely unbelievable. And Jessica—I saw you. I know your name. And the way you spoke to me was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. If interacting with customers is so miserable for you that you can’t even manage basic courtesy, then maybe working in customer service isn’t the right job. And management: you’re just as much a part of the problem. When a customer has an issue and your response is essentially “I don’t see anything wrong with it” while refusing to provide a way for them to escalate the complaint, you’re not solving the problem. You’re protecting bad customer service. You don’t get to treat loyal customers however you want and then expect them to keep coming back. I’ve been coming here every single day. After today, you lost a regular customer. I will gladly take my money somewhere that understands the incredibly basic concept of treating people with respect. And honestly, if you’re going to be rude and nasty to customers, you don’t get to act shocked when someone finally calls you out on it. Never again.
