  I don't know what's going on in this location but it seems a little chaotic these days. Yesterday (6/20) went through with my friend to grab a drink around 5:50pm. There were four employees kicking around a ball outside, even kicked it across to the neighboring business and ignored customers in line. When I got to the window I hoped it would be better but inside there were multiple workers on their phones and talking amongst themselves. I also didn't even get what I ordered. This used to be my go to location but thankfully Carpentersville is just minutes away.

  Janet was super helpful! I was clueless as to what drink to get since it was my first time there and she gave me 3 recommendations all different for different moods your in! Ended up get an energy drink with cold foam on top, delicious!

  Not too sure what's going on with Janet lately but normally she's all smiles. I have been going elsewhere for my coffee the last 2 days because she has been real attitudy with me when I point out there mistake as if it's my fault they messed up. Hopefully she changes her attitude soon otherwise forget about me coming back ever again Response to management. Not even worth my time. I go to carpentersville now right down the street. Janet and some of her colleagues have really screwed things up there and looking at recent reviews im not the only one that feels that way

  I visited the Algonquin 7 Brew location on Saturday to take advantage of the BOGO promotion, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. The first issue was the drive-thru line. There was construction happening in the parking lot, and employees were directing traffic. The car directly in front of me was allowed to enter the drive-thru, but I was instructed to drive all the way around the parking lot and follow the cones. What made it frustrating was that I later watched other vehicles being directed straight into the line. The process seemed inconsistent and unnecessarily confusing. Once I finally got into line, there were several employees standing near the entrance talking while customers waited. It took a while before anyone approached my vehicle to take my order. When an employee did come over, I asked about one of the promotional drinks. He wasn't familiar with what was in it and had to leave and ask someone else. While I understand employees are still learning, I expected a little more familiarity with the menu and promotion. The biggest issue was at the payment window. The music was so loud that I could barely hear the employee speaking. I had to repeatedly ask her to repeat herself and eventually found myself raising my voice just to communicate. It made the interaction frustrating and unnecessary. Another disappointment was the pricing. One of the reasons I originally chose 7 Brew over other coffee chains was the value. When I first started going about eight months ago, my large drink with cold foam was around $7 and change. Now that same drink is over $9. I understand prices increase, but when you're paying more, you also expect consistency. The cold foam in my drink was minimal, especially considering it is an additional charge. I've visited this location three separate times and have had similar experiences each time. I kept giving it another chance because it's only about seven minutes from my house, but this visit was the final straw. At this point, I'd rather drive the extra 20+ minutes to the Huntley or Lake Zurich locations than return to the Algonquin location. Between the inconsistent traffic direction, employees standing around while customers waited in the lot, lack of product knowledge, excessively loud music, and disappointing drink execution, this location has lost my business.
