  First time here. Cameron was my server and he was just full of energy. Thoroughly explained the extensive menu and what makes OE so special. John, the manager, stopped by for a nice conversation. The accent here is clearly all encompassing focusing on the food with local, fresh ingredients, service, and atmosphere. A must stop in for anyone travelling thru PF!

  Restaurant was almost empty so no problem with seating. Very friendly and helpful waitress. Love the fact that everything is home made from scratch. Loved the bread and jam. When it comes to dishes my American companions were pleased with the taste but as a person from Europe I will say that non of it was close to flavours from Europe. Everything was very Americanized tasting like food from Denny's. It wasn't bad, just not what I expected. Good breakfast and big portions. 3% charge to use credit card.

  I have gone to the Old European diner location in Pullman many many times over my years living locally. After moving to Coeur d'Alene area one month ago, my fiance and I decided to try out the one up here. Unfortunately, we left beyond disappointed. We ordered the Country Fried Steak, which was SUPER oily and mushy, and something about the taste was off. We love country fried steak, but the taste was poor. Fried eggs were good, though. Hash was burnt and the sourdough toast was completely stale. We also tried out the Hungarian Goulash, and it was beyond dry. Honestly looks like a bad college meal, I was baffled. There were also a ridiculously large piece of bell pepper in the meal and I thought that was just lazy. For a meal that was supposed to be diced, why did I get half a bell pepper in the meal? The aebleskiver dough was blatantly overmixed and the sausage ones were SO BAD. I cannot even describe how bad they were, I GAGGED. Also, no havarti cheese in them lol. Orange juice was great, cinnamon roll was better than the Pullman location. Upon telling our server that we were disappointed, she told us it was "all the same" in Pullman. She also rolled her eyes 3 times during service. Then the manager came up, told us he goes to Pullman frequently, and tried to fact check us that their "suppliers are the same." What isn't the same is the quality of food, it was simply bad. Nothing changes that. And then the server and manager want to tell us we're wrong and got surprisingly combative. We were offered a discount, but we didn't want it so we just paid and left. This place sucks. It's weird expecting the same quality as one of their other establishments and having it not meet any of our expectations that their own chain restaurant had already established. My grandparents love Old European in Pullman, but I'll have to tell them about this experience so they don't waste their money when they visit. I will not be back. Super sad.

  We got breakfast in a large group of 12. This was my first time at the OE. I think they probably excel at tables of 6 or less. I can't knock down the ratings for us having a larger party than they can handle, although the website says they regularly host groups and only need notice if the party is 15 or more. Most of us got part of our meal, then several minutes later the rest of the meals. This resulted in room temp food all around for a group who wished to have a simple prayer before our meal. I will come again with a smaller group.

  Don't get me wrong. The service was amazing! The environment was amazing and cute. The food on the other hand. Tastes as if it wasn't made with love. It had no flavor. Don't get me wrong it's a nice place. Just lacks the love of cooking. Now I also understand that the people who come in are folks with sensitive pallets so maybe the goal is to satisfy them and props to them for the respect and courtesy, just idk. The food was disappointing. Put me in a bad mood. Wasn't what I was told it would be. Has the potential to be more.
