  New city for me. Have been to Pocatello but not to Buddy's Italian Restaurant. It's a pretty old building it seems,but it kinda added to the vibe. Looks like they have been in business for a long time. I very much enjoyed my food. The salad was wonderful,the garlic cheese bread even better,and the tiramisu was 😋 delicious. It took me a minute to warm up to the environment,but I finally did. Definitely check this place out if given the opportunity 😁.

  I wouldn't recommend the meatballs or the burger. Both truly are not inventive, finely ground formed and pressed. Says in house, but if that's true it's no better than frozen, The bread was a plus though. The bread was obviously local and tasty. The dessert the Carmelo Sundae was absolutely fabulous. I don't know that I would come all the way from Idaho Falls back to Pocatello for the Sundae, but if I'm in Pocatello I'm going to be thinking about it lol. The service was, at first very bartender like, but she softened up to us out of towners. The person I was with, had a very unique salad that is worth five stars to her. I could see that it was unique, with cheese and seasonings and like a creamy Italian. It looked very good. The coffee was okay. The best part about the whole trip was the dessert. And the waitress' line, when I said to her "you look familiar". She's said to me "is it from your dreams" 🤣 possibly!

  I have a SEVERE shellfish allergy. They don’t have a lot on their menu but upon notifying them of my allergy, they made sure I was safe - THAT’S HUGE! There was so much food, if you can finish a full plate, bravo! Our waiter was great too. I love me some good, home style cooked meals with great customer service

  I’ve been going to Buddy’s my whole life growing up in Pocatello, and even after moving to Boise 20 years ago, this place is still a mandatory stop every time I’m back in town. I’ll admit—I was a little nervous after hearing the ownership changed when Steve sold it… but nope. Still just as amazing as I remember (crisis averted 🙌). The salads? Absolutely unhinged in size. The server did warn me… and I confidently ignored her and ordered a half anyway. Rookie mistake. I should’ve listened 😂 And the chick’s meatball? Next level. Like, “I’m still thinking about it days later” good. Already counting down to my next visit—Buddy’s, don’t you dare change.

  Serving sizes where great and plenty for one. The Salads are huge and can be shared by 3 to 4. Lower rating just wasn't for us. Salad for my liking had too much dressing on it. Pizza sauce had a bit of a spice to it which wasn't bad at all. The group we where with was over 15 people and they sat us pretty quick and overall greay service for size of our group. Most everyone in group enjoyed their dinner selection. Again rating on good is more on personal tastebuds.
