  Was visiting from out of state and randomly picked this place to have a drink with my husband and cousin. The customer service was the best I've ever experienced from bartenders. Gary and Britney were beyond amazing!! Extremely friendly and welcoming as well. We ended up hanging out for a couple hours waiting for the live band The Noteables to play and had so much fun we stayed for another 3 hours. The crowd was friendly and lively. Great experience. Would definitely go again.

  PSA: If you show up in a Sunday afternoon & there’s hardly any patrons, definitely order food via DoorDash. If you don’t, your in-person order will be take hours because “the cooks slammed with DoorDash orders” will be the response you get EVERY time you ask when your food will be up. Beer orders are fast though so that’s a plus.

  Undecided as to where we'd go for dinner, found Whiskey River and decided to check it out. Didn't see steak on their menu but instead of leaving, we were welcomed in by "Brooke" (the bartender) and ordered drinks to further decided where we'd go for dinner. It wasn't long after the 1st drink, we were already ordering our 2nd. We engaged and chatted with Brooke as if we had known her for years. Anyone seeing this would have assumed we were old friends and catching up. Long story short, I called friends in Star to come join us. We scrapped dinner plans elsewhere. Ordered (Bone in) Chicken wings (I highly recommend) and stayed for another round. Brooke introduced her hubs to us (very friendly) and found out we have mutual friends. Overall, great (small town) atmosphere, friendly staff, affordable prices... We will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
