I expected a burst of garlic and buttery lemon and received bland pasta topped with shrimp and overcooked mushrooms and onions in a thin boring broth. My companion had lobster ravioli and said it was good, but had little flavor. There appeared to be no Italian herbs and spices used in the pasta dishes. We both enjoyed the yeast rolls. My iceberg lettuce salad was drenched in the house Italian vinaigrette and served with canned garbanzo and kidney beans which also made an appearance in my companion's soup. Service was warm and friendly. There was a wait for the check. This beloved local restaurant needs a make over. The torn checkered vinyl tablecloths and odd art -- hula girls I am talking about you -- do not suit a place where you pay $21 for a plate of pasta. We love supporting local businesses, but can't say we'll be back. We hope the loyal local following can keep this little restaurant going.
