  Tipsy Chef is such a hidden gem! The food is top quality but the prices are so reasonable. Anastasiia is the sweetest waitress and ready to fix any minor inconveniences instantly even though they are so busy (definitely for a reason!!!), which is a service that’s hard to find these days. The seasonal pumpkin pancake was so delicious and the bacon was a yummy thick cut! All of the seasonal flavors were really so fun:) I appreciate this place and I hope it keeps its charm forever.

  They advertise the best gooey cinnamon rolls....what a joke!! It was a piece of French toast with cinnamon and sugar and maybe a drizzle of frosting. That is not a cinnamon roll!

  So glad to have found this charming gem in the treasure valley. We eat here often, almost weekly, and the food is consistently cooked to perfection. My go-to is an omelette, French toast on the side, hashbrowns, and an iced latte, though I’ve tried other dishes like the croissant beignets and have enjoyed them. Best French toast in town, hashbrowns always cooked crispy how I like them. Ingredients are top notch - I appreciate that they source locally and cook with lard or butter. The team at Tipsy Chef is always fantastic. We often see Anastasiia, who is authentically friendly, always serves with a smile, and takes initiative ensuring that we have everything we need. I’m not sure why Tipsy Chef doesn’t come up more often in conversation, at least in my experience. They deserve to have lines out the door. Selfishly though, I enjoy being seated and served quickly like I always do when I visit. I wish nothing but the best for this cafe, and we will continue to make this our home breakfast place.

  I’ll be nice enough to leave 2 stars because, thankfully, the food was good. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely awful. My husband, son, and I came in around 9:00 AM on 9/23 to meet some friends who were visiting from out of town. They were running a little behind, and my husband had to leave for work. We had already been seated for about 15 minutes when the waitress walked by, and I politely asked her three separate times if we could get something besides water and put in a food order for my husband. Each time, she told me, “One sec,” but then proceeded to help multiple other parties who had just walked in. After sitting there for more than 20 minutes without anyone taking our order, my husband was so frustrated that he ended up leaving. My friends arrived shortly afterward, but unfortunately we couldn’t leave and go somewhere else because I had an appointment at 10:30. I finally managed to get a coffee from another waiter who happened to walk by after we had been there for about 30 minutes. At that point, I was literally in tears because of how poorly we were being treated and when I had the opportunity to tell the waitress how I felt she acted like nothing was wrong! One of my friends eventually had to get up and find the waitress himself just to get someone to take our order. The food was good, but good food does not make up for service this poor. My friends ended up paying, and I sincerely hope they did not leave a tip for that level of service. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and I will not be returning. I also cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone based on the way we were treated

  One of our favorite breakfast spot! The staff is super friendly and the family atmosphere makes it feel so welcoming. The Hashbrown Avocado Toast is an absolute must try...my favorite. It’s my go to spot to get breakfast with the hubs, but with $5 mimosas, it’s also the perfect place for a girls' brunch. 10/10 every single time!
