  I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches and several of the pastries which are so tempting. I strongly recommend experiencing this delightful gem, hidden behind the Meridian DMV at the end of a small strip center that also contains the Children’s Museum. My wife ordered a warmed up (very) cinnamon roll with melted frosting. The second time, she repeated… it’s that good. I had a savory pastry with a feta cheese filling, and we shared a crunchy caramel waffle (tasted like an adult Twix bar). Another time, the honey cake is almost too pretty to eat, layers and layers with powdered small circles on top. Also tried the Tvorozhnik, a farmer’s cheese, like cottage cheese with the moisture pressed out. The next time I want to try the eclairs in season topped with - pistachio, passion fruit, raspberry or vanilla-frosted. The Chicken Pesto Sandwich on focaccia was a delight, it included a layer of arugula, fresh sliced tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes, cheese and a house dressing. While not a large portion, I loved every bite, a nice combination of flavors. There are a couple of breakfast sandwiches served with fried eggs on top, I chose the chicken version with avocado, tomato, greens and garlic aioli. Because it’s a small space with a lot of variety, they can sell out, especially on weekends, so arrive early for the most options. Pricing is slightly upscale, 5-$8 for pastries, $12-15 for sandwiches.

  Amazing pastries! Good coffee! Great sandwiches! Thanks!! I had the caramel nut pastry and it tastes homemade and quaint. Very good Eastern European vibe and taste.

  I had a wonderful experience at Sunflower Bakery and Cafe. The food was fresh and delicious, and there was a great variety of pastries, coffee, and Eastern European dishes. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the cozy, clean atmosphere made the visit even better. The prices were also reasonable for the quality. I would definitely recommend this cafe and look forward to visiting again.

  Had a panini ham and cheese, It was horrible. It was plain white bread, wasn't buttered before putting on the toasting press. It was dry. Perhaps the eggs were egg product from a carton, made into squares ahead of time, then pressed on the sammy? It was 12 bucks, just a plain sandwich, no veggies on it, no mayo, no sides. Not cheap, I was gonna get a pastry instead but they were expensive. Had a hard time finding something on the menu that sounded good. Someone showed french fries in a pic... that isn't on the menu.
