So last night I went to El Pollo Loco and I did sit in the line for an hour plus I went in today and spoke with the general manager. Rosie and I have to say she was amazing. She completely listened to my concerns then she more than made things right. And I wanna say where I gave them one star last night she definitely earned the five stars today says a lot about a general manager when she can turn a bad experience into a good one. Her Customer service was next level and she was like I said when above and beyond thank you so much Rosie for hearing me out and then doing everything and anything to earn my business and you have definitely done that. I’ll see you soon Rosie and again thank you
WELCOME! Pretty excited about this location I just wanna say I saw a lot of reviews about how long it’s taking however, when I walked in, I was pointed to a kiosk. Placed my order and had it within 10 minutes. The drive-through however, was insanely long and not fast and I would say the line inside is long and after I did my order and two seconds and left I think people started using the kiosk. We had our food within 10 minutes. It was delicious. Got the two piece rice beans, tortillas three orders and I also had to try the tortilla soup all fantastic. I’m super excited when they get their legs underneath them and on top of the chaos of new restaurants opening and Idaho it’s gonna even be faster and better all the employees were working hard but mainly I felt like the food was good clean hot and delicious. Give them a week or two I’m gonna go back can’t wait for the Nampa one highly recommend.
I ordered with my family (4 people), paid $60, and ended up waiting 2 hours for just 'okay' chicken. I understand that the place just opened so it's gonna be a longer wait, but when it's for such mediore food, I can't help but feel duped. I got the general sense that the place was disorganized since people, even after recieiving their food, kept coming back inside because there were items missing from their orders.
While I fortunately wasn't missing anything, that doesn't mean I was very happy with what I got. Just to hit some highlights, the pieces of chicken were tiny and the flavor wasn't anything outstanding, the rice was like something I'd get out of a school cafeteria (not inedible, but definitely nothing special), the horchata was a little on the sweeter side (that's fine), but lacked flavor and was warm somehow warm (what??). I'm giving 2 stars out of good will, hoping, that they'll improve on the wait time and that this restaurant will be an average grilled chicken joint and not an abysmal one.
TLDR: Not worth it. Small portions, mediore taste. Better chicken elsewhere.

Got to be one of the rockiest restaurant openings I’ve seen. Employees just can’t get food out. I’ve been hovering around the place trying to see what all the fuss is about and finally got food today. Lot of the menu items look fantastic, execution 2/10. The chicken meal seemed reheated, I cook and I know the difference between fresh on the bone chicken and not. It was like if you refrigerate cooked chicken and heat it up. Beans were not cooked, like if you microwave beans straight out of the can and keep the fluid. Tortillas were basically mission tortillas. Ordered chips and queso and probably got 9 chips, queso was good just nothing to eat it with. Not impressed so far, I’ll give it another shot in the future when they figure out how to manage the line and get food out.

I liked the food and always will but it’s the wait that sucked. I waited 2 hours in a line comparable to the length of a long line at in n out. It took 2 hours. Then when I finally got to the window there was a young girl with her back to me at the drive thru just chillin sitting in the way of the guy trying to give me my food. They didn’t give me our chips and salsa. When they did they gave me a very messy bag with queso and salsa all over the bag and the queso was upside down. To make small talk I had asked the nice gentleman helping me how it was going. He told me they were fried and for a lot of them it was their first job.
Bring your patience and check your order!
