I like Safeway at this location. Selection is probably the best out of Super 1, Fred Meyer, and Yokes. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The negative is their app, digital coupons and application of the correct price on sale items. Nearly every trip results in an overcharge of products that are on sale. If you don't watch the price being rung up on every item, you have a 50-50 chance of being overcharged. Sure, they'll fix it, but it requires a visit to Customer Service and possibly a drive back to the store. For us, that's 45 minutes round trip. Are you really going to spend the time a fuel to drive back to the store to get the $4.35 they overcharged you? Probably not. I also think the whole digital app thing is a ripoff. It's clumsy and a pain to use. Don't have a smart phone or are not techy, to bad, no special member price for you. I feel the same about Fred Meyer, their's is worse. The poor seniors miss out on a much needed cost benefit if they can't navigate the app.
It's a marketing gimmick that often only benefits the store.
Why keep going there? Nice people, great butcher counter, generally good prices and selection of products.

I ordered a cake here last week and specifically requested no flowers and a masculine design for my husband. When I arrived to pick it up, the lettering was hot pink. Instead of offering a quick fix, the staff spent time arguing with me that it was 'coral' rather than pink..which was incredibly dismissive.
When they finally agreed to change it, they simply piped blue over the pink, making it look like a messy gender reveal cake. To make matters worse, the bakery staff were rolling their eyes and gossiping about me while I was standing right there.
The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because of the store manager. She was amazing, stepped in to ensure the cake was actually corrected, and made sure I was happy before I left. However, due to the blatant rudeness and lack of professionalism from the bakery team, I will not be returning to this location.

The old man that works in the deli is awful. I will not be coming back. He’s unproductive unprofessional and seems like he’s there just to do the bare minimum. Not sure why you would hire incompetent people to be making sandwiches or handing a meat slicer

I go there for their beautiful flowers 🌹 there is no other place that can compare to them as far as flowers go.

Disappointed with the deli. I wanted a simple turkey sandwich. But nothing was stocked. He had to run to back to grab a piece of lettuce, he had to cut the turkey and cheese, had to pull the pickles straight out of a giant jar. the way he cut the onions was just weird and made the sandwich difficult to eat. But the only reason I decided to leave the bad review is because , he said he had to grab a tomato from the produce department. He came back and was about to cut it for my sandwich until we stopped him and asked him to wash it first. That was concerning to me that he grabbed it straight from the sales floor and didn't think to wash it first. Pretty gross. It was not a good experience or a good sandwich. And it took him probably 15 minutes to make one sandwich. My entire family was going to get sandwiches for dinner also, but changed their mind and ended up getting something else. I just hope the lettuce that he grabbed from the back room was pre washed.
