  Was told at the drive thru that I'd be waiting a while because they had to focus on delivery orders. I asked how long, 5 mins or 30 mins? They said "way" longer than that. I know that restaurants can turn off their availability for food delivery, if they can't accommodate those orders on top of regular business. I'm also aware that some third party delivery systems will still force deliveries to restaurants, even if they have turned off delivery orders. What I would like to know is, why would a non delivery restaurant turn away customer's at the door, to accommodate third party delivery? Myself and everyone else I saw drive up to the speaker, chose not to wait a "way long" indeterminate amount of time and drove off.

  Service was friendly. However, they were extremely slow. The tater tots were cold and tasted like fish. Which tells me that grease traps in their fryers need to be cleaned out. And when I ordered I asked for a plane cheeseburger kids meal and that confused them

  Sonic Drive-In. Founded in 1953 in Shawnee, OK. They are 10th. to be reviewed out of 14. Criteria will be the same. Signature double burger, large fry, and strawberry milkshake. 3.0 Staff diversity, cleanliness and business. 3.5 Cashier accuracy and friendliness. 3.0 Timeless (10min). 3.0 Price ($16). 2.5 Presentation. 3.0 Dining room. 2.75 Fries. 2.5 Super Sonic Double Cheese burger. 3.0 Shake. 2.0 Condiments. 2.84 Average. Staff was diverse, had clean uniforms and was busy in the kitchen, which I discovered when looking for the Dining room, which they don't have. I'm sure everyone knows this except me. A Lady was super friendly and took my order from the kitchen. They then brought my food out to the Picnic tables and took my money then. Food came out a little slow, but Fresh and Hot. Fries were Hot, Crispy and salted. Lots of short pieces do to the crinkle type fries. Super Sonic Double Cheese burger was made to order and very large. Sloppily assembled, with wilted lettuce and tomatoes and mushy pickles. The burger patties had a good burger taste. Strawberry shake had perfect texture, very drinkable. Great Strawberry flavor. The dining room (patio) had plenty of clean tables, all of them clean and have been pressure washed frequently. The floor was free of trash and very clean (no smashed catsup packages). Trash cans and enclosures were very clean. There was no condiment station, but the staff will get you anything you need. Little bit of food waste left in the bag. If you enjoy eating in your car, this is the place for you. Burgers may not be their thing.

  I go almost daily for my lunch and it’s great but what’s even better is the service. Especially Dani, she is always so friendly!
