  This was our second time at El Jefe and seriously I can’t recommend it enough! The staff (this time, Heidi) are SO friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home! She checked on us multiple times, refilled our chips and queso at no extra charge, and had the sweetest demeanor! The food was colorful, flavorful, and delicious! My husband doesn’t even like queso, and we came back for it again! Highly recommend the tacos (we got the chicken and steak mix), mango habeñero wings, and of course, the chips and queso! Highly recommend - we’ll be back!!!

  Ordered online. Which I hardly do. I like to walk into an establishment and order, maybe have a “suggested” drink and watch the “show”, which is the restaurant biz!!! I was greeted promptly, my order was ready within the 13min online suggestion. Walked in to get my pickup order; had quite a few amazing conversations while at the register..

  I picked up an order from El Jefe to try for the first time and let me tell you, I am blown away! It was SOOOO good this is going to be my new spot!! Best Mexican in town hands down!! I got the queso, gauc, and salsa to start with. All of them were so delish! The chips were so fresh and hot. I also had the steak bites and they were honestly one of the best steak bites I’ve ever had!! I also got the churro sticks and omg they were so fresh and sweet and perfect! When I picked up my order the blonde bartender/host was so nice and had a huge smile on her face. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!! Definitely will be returning!

  We were in the neighborhood picking up some work clothes and stopped in at my girlfriend's request. Am i glad we did. Heidi took our order, super friendly, got us situated with our drinks super quick! We started with chicken wings that were cooked to perfection, i had the steak torta, the lady had chicken taco salad. Both were incredible (i had a couple bites of hers, it was 👌🏻) the torta was a blast of flavors, i (we) seriously cant wait to come back.

  We came in expecting a traditional sit-down Mexican restaurant with full table service, and that’s not what El Jefe’s is. You order at the counter and then grab a seat (we sat at the bar). But don’t let that fool you for a second. First, Heidi absolutely blew us away. Her personality, energy, and customer service were incredible. She made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and is the kind of person who makes you want to come back. Now let’s talk about the food… Holy smacks. The flavors here are unreal. I ordered the chicken street tacos, and the first bite practically stopped me in my tracks. The combination of flavors that exploded in my mouth was unlike anything I’ve had before. Every ingredient was balanced perfectly, every bite packed with flavor, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. Flawless is the only word that comes to mind. The food didn’t just meet expectations—it completely blew them away. If you’re looking for white-tablecloth dining and waitstaff taking your order at the table, this isn’t that place. But if you’re looking for amazing food, incredible flavor, and service from people like Heidi who genuinely care about customers, put El Jefe’s on your must-visit list. We’ll be back—and we’ll be dreaming about those tacos until then. 🌮🔥❤️
