This is my local store. It’s actually the closest grocery store to my house but in the future I will be driving further. A couple days ago I purchased some seasoned burger patties to cook for dinner, they looked fine and the date was still good for another week so I assumed they were fresh. I got them home and pulled them out, the seasoning was covering them and making them look red, underneath the patties were gray and rotten, they smelled horrible. I immediately took them back to the store and went to customer service for a refund. I got a lecture from the lady there that customer service was closed and I would need to come back tomorrow. She implied that I should have brought them back sooner, I said “what am I supposed to do have this rotting meat in my fridge all night?” I explained that I had just bought them 20 minutes ago and I brought them back the instant I knew they were rotten. She was suddenly able to help me and refunded my money. While I was there returning the rotten meat my sister asked if I could get her salami cheese sticks from the deli, I made sure they looked good and were in date. They gave her food poisoning that night. She was sick the whole next day. It’s the only thing she ate on her own, everything else was a shared meal that day so it was definitely the salami wraps that caused it. And I had noticed some other salami in the fridge at the store looked gray on the edges. But I bought one that was fine looking and still had months before its expiration. Something is wrong with a shipment of meat or their refrigeration. I wouldn’t trust any of it and I will not be shopping there anymore. I buy the food for my 2 year old there and now I can’t risk it. And this isn’t the first time. Months ago I got a beef stick there and ate it at work. It was dry and off tasting and when checked the expiration it was 6 months out of date. Do not trust the food here.

Albertsons needs to fix its coupon policy. There are “digital deals” that requires one to clip the deal, but the items are often excluded at checkout - even after putting in the correct phone number associated with the basket. Older people are often missing these discounts as they can’t deal with the technology requirements. Why not just give customers the lower prices to begin with? Groceries at Albertsons are plenty expensive enough!
