This Chick-fil-A in the Idaho Falls area is technically located in Ammon, Idaho, in the busy shopping district near Sportsman's Warehouse and Firehouse Subs. It's an extremely busy location, but I've always been impressed by how professionally the staff handles the traffic. It's a freestanding restaurant with a huge parking lot and plenty going on around it. Inside, the staff is incredibly professional and interactive. Even when the restaurant is packed, the ordering process moves well, the pickup area is organized, and there's a lot of friendly interaction between the employees and customers. It's one of those places where you can tell the staff is accustomed to handling a serious amount of business. As the author of The Grant Colson Thriller Series novels and a romance novelist, I travel constantly and eat at an absurd number of restaurants while researching, shooting photos, and moving between locations. What stands out to me here isn't simply that the food is consistently good. It's how well the staff manages a very busy restaurant while remaining friendly and professional. The dining room is comfortable and has a nice visual mix rather than feeling like one giant fast-food seating area. There are standard tables that work well for families of four, along with larger tables for groups. I also like the diagonal floor tiles, which give the interior a little more visual character than the typical straight grid. There are good entrance mats for Idaho's rain and snow, and the restrooms have always been clean when I've visited. One feature I especially like is the small indoor play area for kids. With so many families coming through the Idaho Falls and Ammon area, it's a genuinely useful addition. Good food, clean facilities, plenty of parking, a family-friendly dining room, and an excellent staff. This is a really solid Chick-fil-A for the Idaho Falls and Ammon area.
