- BTBrian Trotter4 days ago3.0Have always ordered, and liked, Chicago style from Giordano's in the past. Tried thin crust Margherita this time and we were sorely disappointed. Tasted like a pizza from the kid's menu at a Mexican restaurant - or just a boring frozen pizza. The dough seemed barely cooked, tasted like flour and the crust was slightly too thick to be called thin. Flavor was also just non-existent. Added salt but still couldn't finish it bc it was so bland. Prob the worst Margherita pizza we've encountered anywhere. As fans of their Chicago style, we def won't order thin crust, or any form of their Marg pizza, again and highly recommend avoiding it. Thankfully, we had two servers, as one was ending her shift. First server was not friendly, but the second was fantastic. Three stars, since our second server was fantastic. Otherwise, this isolated visit would be a single star. Get their Chicago style.
- NCNick Copeland5 days ago1.0I had one ranch water and it was a double. I also had a 6 inch pizza that was the smallest pizza I have ever seen. The cocktail was $35 and the pizza was $10 and change. It cost me $52 with a 20% tip for a snack and a drink. I’m not one to complain about the price of a good meal and a beverage but this was ridiculous!

She was managing, but this is unfortunately the norm for today’s restaurants. Do better, you can still make money without people working like dogs. The owners should be ashamed of themselves.
- NNNiniJun 25, 20261.0Never again. Service was horrible and billing was ridiculous. I went with my family for my mom’s birthday and it was a horrible experience. The waitress was rude and clearly had a chip on her shoulder. My mother had on her hijab and constantly got dirty looks from our server, we waited nearly 2 hours and she attempted to gaslight us into thinking it was 40 minutes. Not to mention they lined the only black family up right by the shitty smelling bathrooms. Lastly they gave us all a huge “mandatory” tip including myself who was on my own bill. The location will not see another dime from me, very disappointed.

Will be contacting corporate HQ in Chicago because I have been to the Chicago locations and had great service and pizza. I'm sure they aren't going to be real happy with how the Des Moines location is being ran.
