  I’m going to be respectful, but I’m also going to be very honest because this experience was absolutely unacceptable. I spent $74.92 for four people, and between all of us, we barely ate one plate of food. That alone should tell you how disappointing the food was. The BBQ chicken was so hard I honestly thought I was going to break a tooth trying to eat it. The pizza tasted old, stale, and like straight-up cardboard. The tomatoes and jalapeños had such a strange chemical-like taste that they were practically inedible. I genuinely don’t understand how food of that quality was being served to paying customers. I will give credit where it’s due: the soda was crisp, cold, and delicious! Unfortunately, that’s about the only positive thing I can say about the food. I even spoke with the lady cleaning up and asked about possibly receiving some of my money back because we barely ate anything. She was very kind and respectful, and I appreciated that. However, I did not receive a refund. I’m not someone who normally complains, nitpicks, or makes a big deal out of little things. I understand that not every experience is going to be perfect. But when I spend nearly $75 to feed my family, I expect food that’s at least fresh, edible, and worth the money. I didn’t pay $74.92 for four people to leave hungry and disappointed. If I wanted cardboard, I could’ve stayed home and eaten the pizza box for free! All jokes aside, this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The staff member I spoke with was pleasant, but the food was absolutely terrible. I work hard for my money, and spending that much for food we couldn’t even enjoy was beyond frustrating. I truly hope management takes the quality of their food more seriously because customers deserve better than this. I wasn’t expecting a five-star meal, but I certainly wasn’t expecting a $75 disappointment either!

  We live about 2 minutes down the road from the Pizza Ranch in Urbandale, but we have made this one here in Waukee our "home" Pizza Ranch. Louis and Kristi are a huge reason why. We always come with our 2 year old son and they are both so great with him, and he looks forward to seeing them too. Louis in particular is very active with our kid, who, like a typical toddler, likes to run around. Louis will walk by and have fun, keep our little guy entertained and bring over some treats for him and chat with him. He'll run with our kid too and just have a blast and just make our kid smile and light up so much. When we leave, they always make it a point to say goodbye to each other- fun little friendship has been made here. We truly appreciate the energy he brings when we are here and the positive attitude he has every time we come by. They're both very attentive not only to us but everyone in the building and are on top of everything that is going on. Food is great, atmosphere is great and the service by these two are phenomenal.
