  I have been here fairly often and I do love the Avacalada smoothie. I decided to try the "Dragonfruit" bowl today and was severely disappointed. I love dragonfruit and have had bowls served at other places (not locally) and this one was a joke. It was basically frozen syrup chunky and slimy at the same time. The strawberries on top were mushy and some of the banana was also brown. Definitely not worth the price.

  I recently had a very disappointing experience at Tropical Smoothie Cafe on 3/10/26 primarily due to the behavior of the Older Gentleman working the drive thru window. The interaction came across as hostile from the start and immediately made the visit uncomfortable. After Frequenting the Cedar Rapids location almost everyday before moving, I can’t justify putting myself in the same situation when trying to do something that makes me happy. My kids love tropical smoothie and I’m not sure what to tell them when we drive by almost every single day.

  The worker at the window had terrible customer service and was being rude the whole time and when I mentioned that the customer service was terrible she slammed shut the window. rudest encounter ever there not the first time this girl has been rude. She has a sword tattoo on her arm. Nobody should ever act that way towards customers, if it happens again I will call corporate!

  Good taste, but not really good for you. Commercial smoothys and meat means not really real... mostly syrup amd sugar but I still go often just dont go thinking its healthy. 4 star for appearing healthy but not being.

  Tropical Smoothie is one of my favorite places to drive through. I love the Super greens ceasar chicken wrap and the Bahama Mama smoothie with a scoop of whey powder. Rich, Troy and Rep’s are super nice, I’m always greeted with a smile and my food is prepared just like I like it. A great place to try!
