- LSL SAug 5, 20262.0They advertise as creole/ Caribbean flavor but I was not impressed. The only thing that was good was the cowboy beans. Rice & beans were ok. The catfish was awful. It tasted like it had been soaked in lake water for hours before it was pan sautéed. Our glasses of drinking water tasted like lake water also. Coleslaw wasn’t good either. Just overall, for the price, I would not return or recommend. Service was great though.

Was very pleased to see it hasn't changed much over the years, even with an ownership change. They still remain one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the Des Moines area.
