What an outstanding experience 👏. My family of 5 went out tonight and everything was on point! My twins got the cheese fries and loved them 😆. My wife got the chimichhanga and loved it. I ordered like a pig and got the birria pizza. Dude... So flavorful! Delicious. The consume was delicious, the elite was awesome as well as the rice and beans. The service was outstanding as well.

Ive been to alot of Mexican restaurants trying to find the best places to go and eat. I heard alot about this restaurant and was so disappointed. I had a steak taco dinner because if I don't know the restaurant I pick what I usually eat and if the tacos and rice are good then I'll order other items. I didn't like the tacos , they were small and the rice was a 3 in my scale. Im not Mexican but my Mexican food is way better than this. As I was growing up I learned from a few Mexican ladies how to make Mexican rice, tacos, ect. If you're a fan continue to enjoy. As for me I'll keep cooking Mexican food until I travel again and go eat at some very good restaurants in Wisconsin.

After multiple visits with both friends and office colleagues, I can confidently say Rio Burritos is a top-tier Mexican spot in Cedar Rapids. Their Mexican Salad is a refreshing standout, especially if you add their house-made salsa which has just the right kick. The overall arrangement of the restaurant is spacious and welcoming, never feeling overly crowded even during peak lunch hours. Whether you’re there for a quick bite or a long team catch-up, the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff make it worth every penny.

Stopped here a few nights ago. It was during the week. The front was pretty busy, but no one seated in the back portion yet. Our server came to take our drink orders. We got them pretty fast. I think we ordered our food at the same time as our drinks. Server said he would come back with straws. Didn't come back for awhile. He did give us more chips, had to ask him for salsa. I noticed that several tables that came in after we did and ordered after we did got their food. Our server came and said that the kitchen lost our ticket. So, we told him again what we wanted. We waited some more. A lady came around to ask each table how things were, maybe the manager. I told her we were hungry. She went into the kitchen to check. Not long after we got our food. I got Birria grilled cheese and boyfriend got chicken fajitas. The food was amazing! After we got our food, we didn't see our waiter again. Another server took our plates. We asked for a box. I ended up going up to the host stand to ask for a box. I then asked another server if she could find our server for our ticket so we could leave. Once we did get our ticket, nothing was said about our wait for food. We paid the bill and left. Unfortunately this is not the first time we have had bad service. Great food, but bad service.

Came here for the first time because we love Barria. Our table ordered guacamole that was very good, and the chips and salsa was were very good. We ordered the quesa barria tacos with shredded beef, a shrimp taco, and the barria ramen… all of it was delicious! The shrimp was tender and a double wrapped taco is always the way to go. The consume was perfect and ramen was so flavor and came in a bowl big enough for the entire table! If you have never had Barria or know of anyone that has never tried it… this is the place! Phoebe is the owner and walks the tables to see how her customers are doing which is always great to see. The only critique I have is that they don’t make the corn tortillas homemade, not that it’s a big deal but it gives a Mexican restaurant a 👍👍. Just my opinion of course 😉
