  Jimmy John’s will always be one of my go-to sandwich places. Honestly, it almost tops Subway for me — and that’s saying a LOT because I love Subway 😂 The sandwiches are consistently good, fresh, and fast, which is exactly what you want from a sandwich shop. What’s surprised me lately though are the sides. That cucumber vinaigrette salad they had for a limited time? SO good. I’m a sucker for cucumber salads and I was genuinely sad when it disappeared. The potato salad I got today was also really solid and honestly way better than I expected from a sandwich chain. My only real complaint is the cookies lately. I used to LOVE them when they were soft — easily some of the best fast food cookies around. But the last several times I’ve gotten one, they’ve been really hard, so I finally gave up ordering them. If they brought back the soft cookies consistently, this place would basically be unbeatable. Overall though, great food, fast service, and one of the most reliable sandwich spots around.

  I placed an order for delivery to my work address and later received an email that it would be fulfilled through a third party (Uber Eats). I was notified that my order had been delivered, but after waiting and searching for 20 minutes, I could not locate it. I attempted to call and text the driver multiple times with no response. When I contacted the store, I was told there was nothing they could do. I was offered a $12 credit, even though I paid $19 in delivery fees and tip for an order I never received. On top of that, I was told I would have to call in to use the credit on a future order, which doesn’t leave much confidence that it’s even properly recorded or will be honored. This was a very disappointing experience, especially with the lack of accountability and support when something clearly went wrong.

  Not so freaky fast. Did an online pickup, took 40 minutes waiting for our food.

  Waited 28min in the store on my one sandwich pickup order and the sandwich was a mess. Three women who ordered in the store waited maybe 10min at the most and we served ahead of me. Very frustrating, won't be back.

  Very terrible experience with this Ankeny Jimmy John’s location. Took over an hr for delivery. Had to call twice to check on. Manager never once apologized or explained why it was taking so long. We live 5 minute away from location. Usually pick up but home with a very sick daughter as to why it was delivered. We will never be returning to this location. Manager told me it was on its way.. then called again 30 mins later and asked her to check where it was. She said she would have to call him and I said yes please and she wouldn’t. Then told me it wasn’t busy when I ordered but was now. Which makes no sense why it took so long. She then said. It will get there when it gets there. I have never had such poor customer service. This location should find a new manager if this is the treatment your head person has.
