  Wow. This place needs a complete overhaul. Stood at the counter for almost 10 minutes before the girl acknowledged me. Ordered a #3 with BBQ sauce instead of ketchup. She did a #2 no sauce. Stood waiting for my food for nearly 15 minutes. Best thing about my meal was the drink (got it myself out of the machine). There were several people who walked in after me for door dash orders and they had to wait for 10+ minutes. Completely unacceptable. This took care of me ever coming to this BK again. Do better, guys.

  This review is entirely focused on the facility and it's cleanliness, or lack thereof. Fixtures are broken, the theme is outdated 20+ years, chunks are missing from the floor in the kids area, a poster is clearly missing from one of the walls, cracked tiles, overflowing garbages, and the men's bathroom sink is so stained from a lifetime of neglect that I think I'll head into the shower when I get home just to be safe.

  Place was very gross almost all tables were filthy, not even the play area was clean there was trash on the playground, all while the employees sat in the front by the registers talking. I've never had an issue like this before with burger king was definitely expecting more from ankeny.

  After placing our order and paying for the food we were asked to pull around front and it would be brought out. Fine ok. We then waited more than 10 minutes but less than 15 for our food. We specifically asked for NO onions on both burgers. It was written on all the receipts no onions and they even wrote on the boxes NO ONIONS. We get home and what do you know, there are onions ALL OVER BOTH! I call to tell the manager that the food was made wrong, obviously frustrated, and all the "manager" could say was, well I didn't make that. Like really, im not blaming "you", im informing you so you can do your job and reprimand the employees who made the mistake. Unfortunately, do to the lack of experience and the ability to properly address issues like this, we will not be returning to what WAS one of our favorite fast food places. Corporate complaint to follow this review!

  I don't normally write reviews but my latest trip to this burger king was ridiculous. I ordered a kid's meal. Cheeseburger, ketchup only, a simple order. They tell me to pull around to the front and wait for my order. 10 minutes pass and I get out of my car to go inside and get my order thinking maybe they just didn't see my car or I was parked in the wrong spot. A fellow customer then greeted me and said he'd been waiting for 35 minutes for 2 chicken sandwiches. Other customers shared similar grievances. Many people stormed out, not even wanting the food after waiting so long. One man (who was an off the clock employee) came in with his friends and ended up clocking in and working in street clothes just to help the crew catch up. I wait over 20 minutes in total for my kid's meal and leave the full lobby. Only positive of the trip was the food was quite good. But not good enough to justify almost 30 minutes for a kid's meal.
