I actually like the food at this Jack in the Box, but the customer service at this location is consistently terrible. Since moving to the area, I’ve repeatedly experienced employees being unnecessarily rude and confrontational.
One thing that happens almost every time I use the drive-thru is that after I pay, I’m told to pull forward—even when there are literally no cars behind me and the parking lot is empty. I understand asking customers to move when there are other cars waiting, but when there is absolutely nobody behind you, it makes no sense. When I question it, the employees act irritated and seem to take it personally.
My previous visit was also bad. They forgot my shake, so I had to drive back to get it, and the staff was extremely rude when I returned. After that experience, I stopped coming for several months.
Today, I decided to give them another chance because I was craving the food. Unfortunately, it was the exact same experience. After I paid, I was told to move forward despite there being no one behind me. I moved forward, and an employee actually came outside and told me to move even farther. When I asked why, since there were no other customers waiting, the interaction became confrontational.
When my food finally came, I noticed there was no ketchup. I politely asked for some, and instead of simply handing me ketchup, the employee gave me an attitude and essentially told me that the frustration I was experiencing was how she felt when I didn't move the car.
This is not how customers should be treated. Employees can explain company procedures without becoming rude or aggressive. I shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable simply for asking a reasonable question or requesting something that was missing from my order.
I genuinely like the food here, but the staff's attitude has completely ruined the experience for me. Unfortunately, this was my last visit. I will not be returning to this location. Management seriously needs to address the customer service and the way employees interact with customers.
