Isabella came and spoke with us after our food was brought out and she was extremely welcoming. Also what sold me is it is a Christian establishment with scripture on the wall. Carne Asada Fries were new to us but was just what was needed! My adult son absolutely loves the pizzadilla as well. My teenage son always wants Rico’s when he visits from Mississippi. They are always friendly and welcoming. Great place! Empty plates always say more than a review!

The building is loud in all the right ways, with plenty of outdoor seating and an updated, open kitchen that gives the restaurant a fun atmosphere. As always, I ordered the Quesabirria Tacos and even requested extra limes. Unfortunately, none came out with my meal, so I had to go back inside and ask for them. The tacos came on flour tortillas, which isn't my personal preference for birria. The biggest issue was consistency. One taco barely had any meat, another was overflowing, and only one was portioned correctly. The onions were chopped into large chunks instead of being finely diced, and while the cilantro was fresh, the meat itself was just okay. With the amount of cheese they used, I was expecting that beautiful cheese pull. Instead, the cheese had more of a rubbery, sponge-like texture, almost like an old cheese curd. The consommé was the highlight of the meal. It had great flavor and was easily the best part of the experience. Rico's claims to have the best tacos in the South, but unfortunately these didn't live up to that bold statement for me. There were just too many little things that kept this meal from being memorable. Score: 7.0/10. Sadly... my tongue did not lick my brain.

I tried a variety of tacos: birria quesotaco, fish taco on corn, pastor taco on keto shell and carne Asada on corn. I also got the corn in the cup. It had the thickest layer of mayo I've ever had in one and I wasn't mad at it. It was my friend's favorite part of our meal. She got carne asada fries. The food was OK. Great for late night munchies, but not where I would pick as my go to taco spot. Super cute spot though. Great for hanging out with friends. The pizzadilla looked amazing and enough to share for 2-4 people.
