Extremely frustrating experience, especially considering my entire order was ONE drink.
I placed a mobile order for a Dirty Dr Pepper and went through the drive-thru. The line honestly didn’t look bad at all, and I pulled up to the order box almost immediately. I gave them my mobile order code, and then everything came to a complete standstill. In about 15 minutes, the line moved ONE car length.
At that point, I was frustrated enough that I pulled out of the drive-thru and went inside thinking it would be quicker to simply pick up my drink. Instead, there were multiple people standing around waiting for their orders, several of whom said they had already been waiting quite a while. An employee was bringing some orders out, but no one seemed to be checking on the other customers who had been standing there waiting or asking what they were waiting for.
After almost another 10 minutes inside, I finally had to stop an employee and say, “All I have is a drink. That’s it.” She then handed me my drink which was only about 3/4 full. At that point, after wasting nearly 25 minutes trying to get a SINGLE DRINK, I was so frustrated that I just took it and left.
To make the experience even more uncomfortable, while I was waiting inside, a young employee suddenly started saying multiple times from the back, “I just gotta go,” grabbed her belongings, stormed into the lobby, and proceeded to loudly cuss while talking to someone in the lobby for several minutes before finally storming out. Whatever was happening behind the scenes, customers should not have to sit there and listen to an employee have an outburst in the middle of the restaurant.
I understand that fast food restaurants get busy, things happen, and employees can become overwhelmed. But this was incredibly disorganized and stressful from beginning to end. Nearly 25 minutes between the drive-thru and lobby for ONE mobile-order drink, no one checking on customers who had been waiting, an employee loudly cussing in the lobby, and then finally receiving a drink that wasn’t even filled all the way is ridiculous.
I left more stressed and frustrated than I ever should have been over simply trying to pick up a Dr Pepper. This location seriously needs better organization, communication, and management during busy periods.
