Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

    The drive-thru was pretty slow, and the staff didn’t seem very friendly — more robotic than welcoming. I also don’t understand why they don’t automatically include ketchup or at least ask what sauces you want. Before I even had a chance to ask if there was ketchup in the bag, the employee quickly slammed the window shut like they were in a rush. Since nobody asked about sauces, I assumed ketchup was already included. Ended up with fries and no ketchup. Since the food took a while, I expected it to at least be fresh and hot. Unfortunately, the lettuce was so wilted that I had to take it out, and the chicken tasted like it had been sitting out for an hour — dry and no longer fresh. Overall, pretty disappointing experience.

    Great fast food experience at this location. Staff is lovely, the food is piping hot, and the space is clean. Very pleased and expanding to the Georgia market was smart on their part.

    I don’t get the big deal about this place. I wanted to try it to see if it is as good as Texans say it is. It is chaotic (the staff seems to be having a party behind the counter), it takes forever to get the food and when you get it, the burger is dry and flavorless. It is also overpriced. I spent $26 on two burgers! Definitely a one and done.

    Went in around 11:00pm nobody in line or drive thru. Both kiosks didn’t work, took them 5-10 minutes to figure that out… AFTER I told them it wouldn’t let me pay. Then after waiting another 5-10 minutes they say the strawberry mixer wasn’t working. Fine equipment breaks.. they ask if I can switch to banana pudding which I said ok. Because I got a feeling something might not taste right just because of the already inconsistent experience, (of course I didn’t tell the high schoolers that), I asked to add a slice of cheese for free bc of the mid experience and I was already there for 20 minutes. lol the manager said no and gave me this big ahh banana shake(which I think she was trying to be nice but I didn’t really want it in the first place..) I know they’re kids working these jobs but I hope the trained management can use this as a learning opportunity to help team members learn how to rectify bad experiences. Now I prob won’t come back and wrote this long ahh complaint all because of some problems couldn’t have fixed with a slice of cheese………… yall forgot my grilled onions too.

    The front counter attendant was amazing. Very friendly and what a great work ethic she had. She was able to maintain the front counter guests, and still was able to bring sauce out to the tables. She multi-tasked, and despite the pressure of the small rush, she was able to serve the guests with a positive presence. Her name is “Malu” and to me, she was the start of a great customer experience at that location. Thank you Whataburger. PS- My heart is with Chick-fil-A but you all are amazing!
