Expecting standard single patties, unboxing two massive double cheeseburgers four juicy patties stacked with melted American cheese was an incredible surprise. The burgers hit every classic note, remaining hot, savory, and perfectly gooey even through takeout. The real star of the show, however, was the Cajun fries. Tossed in that signature zesty seasoning, they brought the perfect kick. Five Guys' famous generosity was on full display: beyond the filled cup, they dumped an extra heap of crispy cajun goodness directly into the bag. Because takeout can drop in temperature on the ride home, the fries were a little lukewarm by arrival. Luckily, the sticker sealing the bag included handy reheating instructions. Following those steps strictly brought the fries right back to piping-hot perfection. Between the massive BOGO double burgers and the mountain of seasoned fries, this single order easily stretched into two complete, satisfying meals with plenty of fries to pair with both. When a simple craving turns into a multi-meal feast at half the price, it is an absolute win.

I handed back the wrong burger to be remade. The gentleman was kind, apologized and remade the burger. It was wrong again, this time he put bbq sauce on a bacon cheeseburger. This time I requested the entire order be remade because my wife’s burger would’ve been cold after the wait. The much ruder supervisor stepped in and grabbed the bag of the order that was made wrong and launched it in the trash visibly annoyed. I explained my order again as she tried to talk over me still verbalizing a wrong order. I paused her so she could fully listen. The order was correct on the ticket. All they had to do was cross verify. This staff may need some retraining on slowing down, listening intentionally and getting it right the 1st time. Being mad at me for making sure my order is correct is not the solution, especially when I’m paying $40 for 2 burgers and some fries.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
