Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
We do not have a whataburger near us, so I was so excited to go since it had been forever since I have been to one & grew up on it being from Texas. The wait was insane for a burger and kids meal. The person in front of us also waited a really long time. I should have checked it, but assumed a cheeseburger with mayonnaise, ketchup and cheese only is pretty simple to make. They put everything including jalapeños on it and wasn’t edible because I hate tomato, onions and jalapeño. I had to just throw it away and what a waste of money. The fries were good, but I ordered a whole meal and couldn’t eat the rest. Very disappointed.

Yeh unfortunately they’re NGMI. We love the food. But when you order for pickup via the app and then stand at the counter for literally 10 minutes before anyone even sees you, that’s not gonna work. Real shame.

This place was awesome when they opened, had great staff and fast service. Now “they” have taken over and all the reliable corporate staff has left. Good luck it’s 30-45 minute wait for food and they clean the floors and handle your food with the same gloves on lol no thanks.
