I placed a delivery order and waited double the estimated time for it to arrive at my home. When I finally received the order, I quickly realized items were missing. I called the restaurant to let them know, hoping they would send out the missing food.
Instead, I was asked who I was multiple times, even after repeating myself. They finally found my order, but they kept insisting I only ordered a specific item, when in fact, I had ordered something else. I gave them my order number and told them verbatim what my order was. They read back exactly what I ordered, except for one item: they kept calling it a 3-piece tender, when it was actually a 15-piece tender.
Then, they told me to take it up with Uber Eats or DoorDash. I had nothing to do with those services, since I ordered directly through the restaurant's app. Next, I was told to take the food I had already given to the other half of my family, put it back in the bag, and bring it to the restaurant. I responded that the food was already being eaten, and I don't currently have a car—which is the whole reason we chose delivery.
Their next response was, 'Put it back in the bag, bring it to us tomorrow, and we'll give you what you're missing.' So they wanted me to take all the food, bag it up, and bring it in the next day when it would no longer be edible, just so they could replace the one missing item—leaving me with a bunch of spoiled food. Does that make sense to anyone?
Then, the worker or manager called me a liar, claiming she made the food herself. I told her I didn't care if she made it; it didn't get put in my bag and delivered to me. I told her exactly what was sitting in front of me, repeating my order verbatim, and explained that the only thing missing was one 15-piece chicken tender. After that, she just said, 'Come get it tomorrow,' and hung up in my face.
So now, my husband and father have their food and are eating, while my kid and I have nothing. This is unacceptable behavior for a employee of any rank to treat their guest or customer. This needs to be addressed asap. Its clear whoever is in charge this evening cannot handle the pressure of running a kitchen and being respectful to their customers.
