  Came super early maybe before 12 on a Wednesday. Music was already going, gave a jazzy feel, lights were dim. Immediately greeted by the bartender/server. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Didn’t need to add any pepper and I am a pepper girl. Ordered the shrimp and grits and my boss ordered I believe to be the shrimp Po’boy. Also, I love tomatoes they were so ripe and juicy! 10/10. Somebody knows their way around that kitchen, and I’m here for it.

  We came for lunch, the waitress with the piercings (forgot her name) was great, kind, gave us some recommendations and the food was very good. As lovers of both soul food and Korean food, this place has a good combination. The shrimp and grits, and the bibimbap were really good. It looks it might be busier and a better ambiance in the evening, some nights there is live music.

  Love the live singers and music. Server did her best but offered an item and never brought it. A lot of the items on the menu weren’t available. We were told some of those items have been out for months. If that is the case why not just remove them from the menu. I wouldn’t necessarily categorize this place as an Asian meets Soul food place. The decor didn’t scream this vibe at all. It was more southern than anything. Drinks were either heavy on the alcohol or overly sour. Never got a refill on our water. I had to ask another server for condiments. Food…that KTX chicken was OVERLY fried. Crust was crumbling and snapping. Looked nothing like the photos on the website. Still a little confused on the side sauce. Nothing about the KTX said Asian. The lettuce under the chicken was old looking. Green beans definitely aren’t homemade/from scratch. I’m sorry but it truly tasted like it came out of a can. The Mac and cheese was the best thing on the plate. Definitely was salty. Speaking of salty, that salmon with the stir fry should not have been plated. Burnt the top side of the salmon to the point it tasted like straight salt. Menu said $9 to add salmon but was charged $12. Random pasta noodle in the stir fry. The loaded fries tasted like they had just been sitting and the sauce was heavily coating the fries. The sauce had a weird tangy taste. Best thing that touched the table was the cornbread and the dumplings. As someone from out of town and getting multiple recommendations for this place, I expected better all around. Doubt I’d give this place another chance.

  Awesome spot. Live band taking request to sing whatever you like. In the back to my surprise was a speak easy. HOT 🔥 SPOT!! Will definitely fall in again. Food was great. Well knowledgeable bartender!! Great atmosphere!! See you soon!

  I walked into the single best dinner experience of my life. My husband and I came here for a bite after a concert and it went from dinner to not leaving until the music stopped. The bartenders were so knowledgeable, the loaded fries were sent from above. I got to be front row to the best singers I've heard live and I'm sure this was a normal weekend for them. I came for food and left so full spirit and belly. We will be back.
