    Flew from New England to celebrate a friend’s graduation from marine bootcamp. The owner was kind and attentive. I’m glad my friends and I were able to get some soul food while visiting town. Thank you for the Southern welcome and meal!

    We were excited when they opened another restaurant near us on the Southside. They are one of favorite restaurant, great food, large portions and excellent service.

    Alright let’s get into it. I’m from NY visiting and decided to pop in and enjoy a lil southern comfort. I was greeted immediately with a smile and a joke when I walked in (apparently I parked a lil aggressive). My questions about the menu were answered and it was time to order. I opted for the greens, yams, Mac and cheese to accompany my oxtail dinner. When the young lady rung me up I was a tad confused…felt like NY prices in the south, however when baby girl handed over my food container I almost dropped it (HEAVY!!!). I appreciated she offered to fry me up some chicken fresh although I was there near closing time. I tried to talk my way into a lil taster of the hamburger steak, but that was a fail….she wasn’t going for it. Anywho, I sat deep in the corner alone, a few moments went by and I was asked if I needed anything. I appreciated the care and concern. I ate slowly. I wanted each flavor to be enjoyed and they were. I had plenty food and it was delicious. Now, nobody’s perfect and this was no different…my meal came with a piece of cornbread…it had great flavor, but it was cold and tough. I excused it because again, I showed up almost at closing time. All and all, the food was good, the people were nice, the spot was clean! I’m here for a few more days, I may swing back through.

    We went for my husband's birthday and had no expectations. There were four of us and we all were raving about what we got. My son got oxtail, my daughter got fried chicken, my husband got a hamburger steak, and I got a vegetable plate. It was all delicious! I highly recommend this place! Staff was very friendly!

    We had the BEST time it was delicious!! It was actually my first time at this location and they blew me away with the food and good customer service. What a great dinner!!
