My fiancé, mother, and I are in town visiting for the first time in Savannah. We live in FL. We were so tired, and just looking for a quick bite. We were overwhelmed with all the places to eat. But we stopped here last minute for a quick bite. And we are so glad we did. JR was our server, and he made the experience memorable. He was so respectful, and attentive the entire time. He made great recommendations, and also let us know about the history of the building! We were so impressed with him. The restaurant itself is so cool. You feel like you are in a movie or something for sure. I would definitely return to this spot! It’s right by the river too, and the ambiance is perfect. Salads were so good, soup was good, and the crab dip with the chips, very good choice! Thank you JR for your incredible service!

I have to admit, my fourth day in Savannah and the River House, dinner is the best we’ve experienced! Not the usual “Bar Food” served by most establishments.👍👍👍👍👍

Scott was our server tonight and he was nothing short of stellar. He was hilarious, very personable and really friendly. The food came right out of mama’s kitchen And we will be back. God bless! Love this place!!

Do not waste your time going here… the coupon is tempting, and the green tomatoes are good. However, that is the extent of good food. The bourbon pecan salmon is mid at best. The sweet mashed potatoes are a sorry excuse. In my opinion, you’re better off grabbing a can of yams and hitting them with an immersion blender. The only upside is friendly staff.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining there this evening. The restaurant is set on the river and the inside is upscale without being haughty. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the Oscar grouper. Both meals were fabulous our experience was enhanced by our server Clint R. He was attentive and made several great recommendations. Kudos to the kitchen staff for a wonderful meal.
Highly recommend to any and all!
