Chart House seafood restaurant might be an exquisite piece of Georgia's southern history, but our style is anything but old fashioned. Newly remodeled interiors give the restaurant a sleek, modern feel while inhabiting the oldest masonry building in the state of Georgia.
Set against the backdrop of the pristine Savannah River and located among the hottest spots of Downtown Savannah, Chart House is one of the most spectacular waterfront restaurants in the city. The sprawling patio is a lovely setting for afternoon weddings or a relaxing Happy Hour on the river. The view of the 4th-busiest port in the nation is unmatched, and the same goes for the food. The menu features southern Low Country twists on seafood classics as well as the legendary Prime Rib.
To enjoy some of the finest downtown dining and one of the best happy hours in Savannah, Georgia, visit Chart House!
As we reopen our dining rooms, we will continue to practice and take part in preventative measures to ensure the safety of you and your family. We look forward to serving you once again.
Amanda was hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about every item on the menu, but she also knew so much about the history of Savannah and made the entire experience feel personal and memorable. She has such a natural way of connecting with people — by the end of the night it felt more like talking with an old friend than just sitting at a bar.
We bonded over growing up around Rome, Georgia and St. Augustine, and it’s honestly rare to meet someone in hospitality who makes you feel genuinely seen and important the way Amanda did. She has the perfect balance of professionalism, warmth, personality, and authenticity. You can immediately tell she truly cares about the people sitting in front of her.
There’s no mystery why she’s been at Chart House for so long — people like Amanda are the reason places stay successful. She absolutely deserves a raise and recognition for the experience she creates for guests. We’ll be back specifically because of her.

This was my favorite restaurant for a few years up until last night for Mother’s Day. We had a reservation for 8:30. It’s took 20 minutes to get a server and water to our table. They ran out of most food on their holiday(Mother’s Day) menu and wanted to up charge with what my husband wanted because they didn’t have what he originally wanted so he tried making a meal with what they had LEFT. They also didn’t have what we wanted for dessert acording to what they said was available and didn’t tell us until after we ordered our $69/per person meal. My server never gave me the steak sauce I asked for to go with my steak(simple things do make a difference) and she stated multiple times when passing us that she would be right back with it. At the time they weren’t busy at all.
The manager made it seem like he took money off of our bill for the inconveniences but when I calculated everything it was about $2 off but he made it seem like $20 off. Lol, I was just so shocked at how we were treated. I may never return!!
Oh and we’re BLACK and still left a tip. But the service is now TRASH. The manager reminds me of a car salesman, just trying to make a sale and the most money for the company, but what happened to QUALITY?

Made a reservation a month ago for a party of 11. Our reservation was for 6 pm. Several of us did the Chart Your Course which comes with a soup/salad, entree, and dessert. It took about 30 minutes to receive drinks, but we tried not to think anything of it. Come 8 pm, no food (including additional appetizers) had reached our table and not a single refill on drinks. That’s TWO HOURS LATER. This is unacceptable. One manager said it was her first week and the other one said it was his second week. When we complained to management that we hadn’t received food or refills in TWO HOURS, he was very combative and acted like we were inconveniencing him. EXTREMELY rude and didn’t try to de-escalate the issue at all. There weren’t that many tables seated at the time of our reservation so we weren’t understanding what could be taking so long.
Several of us didn’t receive our soup or salad, and had no time to get our dessert due to having a reservation at 8:30 pm that we told them we had to get to. Again, by 8 pm, we hadn’t received any food. So that means most of us only got ONE part of our THREE part meal. All the manager offered to do was comp the additional appetizers, which only 3 people got. He refused to take off the soups/salads that we never received and desserts that we didn’t have time for because this experience took 2.5 hours and we were running in to our next reservation. This place was awful. Poor management and poor service. It should be an embarrassment to be running your restaurant like this. I can’t even tell you how my entree tasted because I had to eat it so quickly, but it clearly wasn’t decent enough to stick out and make me forget how terrible of a time I was having.
When our food arrived after complaining, we immediately asked for our checks so that we could rush out. The waiter said he knew we were in a hurry and already had everything split, however it still took another 25 minutes to get our checks. I can’t express enough how terrible of an experience this was and management needs to be replaced. I sat back in complete disbelief watching one of the managers argue with our table the way he did. So rude and so disrespectful. In what world is a two hour wait on food and drinks ok and not once do you apologize or even acknowledge how backed up things are? And the fact that he refused to help in any way? Please do not consider ever coming to this place.

Came here to celebrate my birthday and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall. When we arrived for our reservation, there was some confusion about seating, and we were moved between two different tables before getting settled, which didn’t make for the best first impression. Our server was friendly but surprisingly spoke negatively about much of the menu, even advising us to avoid the specialty cocktails because they were overpriced and not good. While we appreciated the honesty, it raised some concerns about the overall quality.
We started with the crab cakes, which were disappointing—they contained noticeable shell pieces and lacked flavor. For our entrée, we ordered the sea bass, which also fell short of expectations and wasn’t particularly enjoyable.
Given the occasion, we were really hoping for a standout meal, so it was frustrating that the experience didn’t live up to expectations. That said, the crème brûlée sampler was excellent and definitely the highlight of the night.

As a chronic people pleaser I genuinely hate leaving such a terrible review but unfortunately that was just our experience. We made a reservation for 11 people to celebrate our friends bachelorette a month ago, and yet the restaurant acted like it was a surprise we were coming at all. We wait 20 minutes to be seated, once sat we got our drinks and proceeded to wait for 2 hours to receive ANY food. The food that arrived was all lacking— appetizers that never arrived, meals that took even longer than others and due to our reservations after this dinner which we gave 2.5 hours for, we didn’t have time for dessert either. And the best the managers could do? A lousy excuse and comped appetizers which genuinely never even arrived or arrived incomplete. That’s it. The server was polite and the most accommodating of them all. The attitude we received and lack of compassion as if we did something wrong and were asking for too much was the worst and most unacceptable part of it all.
