I’ve given this location more than one chance, but unfortunately the same problems keep happening.
I’ve ordered online several times now because it’s supposed to be a convenient way to customize your order exactly how you want it. The app gives you several options, so naturally I selected “cut in half” for my sandwich. Each time, that simple request was completely ignored. I also requested extra mayonnaise, and every time it was either missing entirely or there was no noticeable difference from a standard sandwich.
These aren’t unusual or difficult requests. They’re basic customization options that your own online ordering system offers. If those options aren’t going to be followed, it makes me wonder why they’re there in the first place.
This isn’t about expecting perfection. Everyone makes mistakes occasionally. The frustrating part is that the exact same issues happened on multiple orders. That points to either employees not paying attention to the order details, a lack of training, or a breakdown in quality control before orders leave the restaurant.
Jimmy John’s has built its reputation on being “freaky fast,” but speed shouldn’t come at the expense of accuracy. I’d much rather wait an extra minute if it means the sandwich is actually made the way I ordered it.
The food itself is good, which is why I came back after the first disappointing experience. But when customers take the time to place an order online and customize it, those instructions should be followed to. “T”. Something as simple as cutting a sandwich in half or adding extra mayo shouldn’t be repeatedly overlooked.
I hope management takes a closer look at how online orders are being prepared because attention to detail is just as important as making sandwiches quickly. Until these basic issues are addressed, I’ll have to think twice before ordering from this location again.
