Stopped in for the first time today. Amazing selection of prepared foods, an amazing butcher’s case, and some hard to find items. Premium prices for premium+ quality… I was hunting guanciale, called ahead, and Jennifer put aside the last two for me. Great service! I look forward to coming back and getting some special occasion steaks, although the house-made pimento cheese may get me back in sooner.

We have been regulars here for a few years now, but this evening has been the first visit since the new ownership. The menu added some new wine which was nice, but they have removed some of our favorite sides. Removing the Brussels, Mac and cheese, bacon Gouda Mac and cheese, and the Demi sauce (this was icing on the cake) that used to come with the steak was a really poor decision and I hope they make a come back. We ended up ordering the duck fat potatoes and stuffed mushrooms; forgettable at best.
Also, there was some confusion on how to order your selected meat. Previously, you would go to the butcher counter, order your meat, give your preferred temperature, and tell your server what you ordered and choose a side with your server. Although that’s how it’s depicted on the menu, the butcher counter sent us back to our table and asked that we order at the table.
I wish I could give a 3.5 rating for this trip, purely on the confusion and menu changes. Hopefully these are only temporary or we will have to find a new “Go To” steak place.

This has been one of our favorite local spots! First time back today after ownership change. Missing some favorites on the menu including fries, mac & cheese and brussel sprouts. Food was good and service just ok. Not crazy about loud country music but otherwise place looks good and good selection of meats and premade meals.

We are regulars and our first time up there with the new owners. Overall the menu is a nice upgrade and the food was good. Nice wine selection and Variant on tap is a bonus! I do miss the fries and they definitely need to add those back to the menu. Look forward to continuing our support of one of our favorite local spots!
