Received coupons in the mail and decided to check this place out with my little one - weekend coffee for me and a smoothie for her. I read that the menu was highly customizable, so I asked for a lower sugar smoothie for her. She loved it. No idea if it was really lower sugar or not…kinda the cost of going out I suppose. I asked if they could do a cafe au lait for me (at Sbux this called cafe misto). I interacted with several different people and no one knew what I was talking about, even though I explained multiple times I was just looking for half coffee, half steamed milk. Ultimately they gave me a steamer (?), but when I took a sip, there was zero coffee in it - it was a cup full of only steamed milk! So I brought it back and asked for some coffee to be added to the cup, which they kindly did for me, and I was told they don’t serve regular coffee there - they only have espresso options. Now I know. The branding is a little off - I wouldn’t call it a coffee place if they don’t serve actual regular coffee. They definitely have specialty drinks, smoothies, milkshakes, iced coffee-flavored options, but after visiting, I wouldn’t describe it as a coffee place at all.
It has somewhat of a hip car wash meets CFA vibe - loud music, drive-thru service only, pleasant staff w/iPads. Pricing was less than other specialty drink shops around. Location is convenient. Nice to have places like this in the area, but I don’t think it will be a frequent destination for me. Because items are so customizable, nutrition information isn’t posted on the menu - you have to email them - so if you don’t mind drinking your calories, it’s no problem. For me, this is definitely more of an indulgence once in a while.
