Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
So, as far as fast food burger joints go, this one is the best. The ability to customize your burger is awesome and they are clearly cooked to order. The service is great and the food came out fast. They have a great kids menu too.

Consumers Beware!!!
Charging full soda price for water!
Tried their honey butter biscuit. It's a mostly breading, single chicken finger on a dry biscuit. Terrible experience and we won't be back!

I stopped by Whataburger and was honestly disappointed with how long it took for the team in the back to make one milkshake, especially since there was no one else in the store or in the drive-thru. It should not have taken nearly as long as it did for such a simple order.
That being said, the young skinny dirty blonde girl working up front gave amazing service. She was kind, professional, and handled the situation way better than the rest of the team seemed to. She was the only reason the experience wasn’t completely frustrating. Whataburger definitely needs more people like her — employees who actually care about the customer experience and keep things moving.

Hi, I really don't want to be rude but there’s often a reason I don't come to Whataburger. Often it's just the really long wait time. I've only come to Whataburger 3 times and I have never left in under 40 minutes. This time was a bit more special in it's cruelty. The entire 40+ minites wait for my order I never asked what is taking so long or bothered them. I got my shakes way too early and they are melted. I still have to drive home. But I wanted a straw and I didn't see any where they were labled. When I asked the MANAGER about the straws he rudely told me but I did not understand. I tried to ask again and he yelled at me. Very loudly. A customer helped me get straws. I'm not sitting in my car crying and embarrassed because even other people commented that it was sad tht he yelled at me. There are also a lot of drunk people inside cussing and laughing because I got yelled at. It's a thoroughly humiliating experience. On top of that I didn't even get the sauces I paid extra for. I don't think I will return. I also cannot recommend this place to anyone. I have to warn people that this place is slow, aggressive, and sloppy. It's like if someone made McDonald's more expensive and worse so it's not worth the money.
