Went there today to take a takeout option of their buffet items. I asked the lady server do they have that concept. She said yes and brought a styrofoam + 2 small plastic boxes. She did not say any restrictions. We simply packed some chicken items and saw mutton/ goat curry was almost over. Asked her to refill it.. spend 10 mins waiting nothing happened. There is another waitress and we told her ‘hey can you refill so we can serve and leave’. She brought out the curry within 2 mins.. makes me think the First Lady did not let the kitchen know the curry needs refill.
We filled ONR small plastic box with mutton curry and asked the First Lady for a carry bag. She gave a carry bag and goes ‘Mam we don’t allow this. Next time please note’. I asked ‘ what is it that we did and you don’t allow’.
Her response: you can’t take goat curry because customers are waiting
I’m like: yes we waited too… what’s wrong in taking it
She said: no, you took a lot of pieces and it’s not allowed.
My response: first you never told me that curry is not included in takeout options. Secondly it’s a small box and I took less than what I would have taken if I was eating in..
She said: no you can’t take that…
by this point I’m irritated that she is blaming us for taking food which we rightfully paid for. If I eat in, I would take the same food for my serving…
I said: take your food and give me my money..
She said: no
She never apologized for being rude. I think it’s pretty obvious this is not a restaurant if you want to be treated right… very bad attitude and service. This is atleast a 3rd bad experience I have with them. That’s it… never going back there again

Fantastic food and really friendly staff, everything was so good - our group shared dal makhani, chicken vindaloo, butter chicken, chicken masala, goat biryani, garlic naan and regular naan, mango lassi, and gulag jamun. I want to go back soon!

Recently made a catering order for Vegetable Biryani and Gobi Manchurian for a party at home. Found the portions very generous and food was very flavorful. The sides of raita and salan provided with biryani was also good. They were also very reasonably priced compared to other catering services in the area.

Great food, especially if you like it spicy, but terrible service given they are understaffed and out of several menu items. Bad atmosphere because there are several gnats flying around and a doorbell incessantly ringing. Would recommend sticking to takeout
We had the Saturday lunch buffet at Tandoor Tavern, and the entire experience was outstanding. The buffet offered a wonderful variety of dishes, and everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared.
The goat curry was one of the highlights. The meat was incredibly tender and practically fell off the bone, while the gravy was rich, aromatic, and full of authentic spices. The chicken dum biryani was also excellent, with perfectly cooked rice, tender chicken, and a beautiful balance of flavors. The naan was fresh, soft, warm, and paired perfectly with the curries.
The staff made our visit even more enjoyable. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They regularly checked on the buffet, kept the food trays filled, cleared the tables promptly, and made sure guests had everything they needed. Their warm hospitality made us feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the meal.
The restaurant had a clean, relaxed, and family-friendly atmosphere. The environment was pleasant and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a weekend meal with family or friends. The combination of delicious food, excellent variety, reasonable pricing, wonderful service, and a welcoming environment made this a memorable dining experience.
We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning to Tandoor Tavern again!
