The sweet plantain was absolute perfection! The meat, was perfectly seasoned, I could see an older Cuban lady a Tia dancing as she made the sauces. I am EXTREMELY biased but my goodness the food is good and pretty authentic.

The ropa vieja was ok, but the runny base and tough meat took away from the enjoyment. The black beans were good. I also tried the empanadas, which were found lacking as well... small, dry, spices were unbalanced. Perhaps if there were more Cuban Food restaurant options offering competition, this restaurant would step up their game.

After growing to know the true Miami Cuban culture I was looking forward to a guava and queso pastelito but this place had them sitting under a heat lamp baking all day and they looked deflated. This is supposed to be a puff pastry made from flakey dough. This place is a cheap imitation that costs over three times the price from Miami. Just disappointing. It’s one of three places in the area where I know to get Cuban food and it’s truly the knock-off version.
