I LOVE BREAKFAST, so my husband pulled into this lovely diner after 5pm where I was still able to order my favorite meal of the day.
Not only were the people working there kind and welcoming, but the breakfast food was FABULOUS. The best I’ve had, and my husband commented on how much he enjoyed his dinner. The service was great, and the desserts as delicious as any Mom’s. Wonderful experience all the way around.
I ordered 3 veggies. The green beans were inedible and the creamed corn was gross. It was just nibbles in water. My companion ordered a chicken salad sandwich and the tomato was thicker than the layer of chicken salad. It was essentially just all bread. And This it cost $30. What a rip-off.

We atea big breakfast today, but we will be back soon for dinner.

The last time I went it was a few minutes after 7:00 and they close at 7:30. I'm not one of those people that go to a restaurant a few minutes before they close and stay until after they've closed. That rude and just because they aren't closed when you arrive doesn't mean you should expect to sit down for a meal and make the employees stay late because you couldn't plan better and didn't think about the fact that they'd like to go home after their shift the same as you would at the end of your day. That being said one of the employees saw me at the door looking at their schedule and motioned for me to come in. I was grateful but told her I only wanted to order some food to-go so they could go home on time. The lady was very friendly and took our order, gave me the total and I paid. It only took a few minutes for them to have my food ready and packed. The food is southern food like I grew up on. Fried steak, sawmill gravy, collards, black eyed peas, peach cobbler, corn bread, and sweet tea. And it was excellent. Reminded me of Sunday afternoons after church. It was a good value and wonderful experience. I'm sure eating there would be wonderful and when I can go back earlier I'm definitely going to. Highly recommend but keep in mind they close early. They also have breakfast and it looked like a southern style, as well.
