I typically have a pretty good experience with Johnny’s. Food is good always fresh. However my most recent take out order was not. I placed a pick up order on May 9th 2026 for a Johnny’s deluxe calzone, Cesar Salad and added grilled chicken and a slice of cheese cake. Upon getting home with my order my Cesar salad did not have the grilled chicken. I immediately called the restaurant and was placed on hold to speak to a young lady who I am assuming was a manager, I unfortunately cannot remember her name. I explained the issue was placed on hold again and once she returned to the call she advised that the salad was voided and be refunded. I in fact DID NOT receive a refund. While only about $15 bucks at most. The principal and inconvenience

Poorly staffed for a busy sunday evening
We went to a movie across the street at AmStar and one of the ladies I went to the movie with said she knew of a good place nearby so we met her at Johnny's for dinner. When we walked in they seemed reasonably busy. We met them at their table and it took a good 15-20 minutes before anyone even came to our table to get our drink order. After the drinks were ordered, it was another 20 minutes or so before the drinks were dropped off and only some of the drinks were dropped off the first round (which i understand, only two hands) and there was another 10-15 minute wait before the other drinks came out. We were dining with 3 adults and 3 children so we ordered a decent amount of food for everyone. It took over an hour for our food to finally come out. It took an hour for a Caesar salad to be brought out and then the rest of the food came 15 minutes later. After we started on our food, the "macaroni and cheese" we got for our toddlers to share was actually penne noodles, Alfredo sauce, and cheese. Maybe it was listed that way on the menu, I'm not sure. I didn't order it, my friend did. But either way, calling it "macaroni and cheese" when its really just a cheesy Alfredo is insane. On top of that, we also ordered a spaghetti for the two toddlers to share and they were so busy digging into the "mac and cheese" and some fries that we didn't notice that it didn't come out of the kitchen until 20 minutes after the rest of the food did. At the end of the meal, we thought maybe all the waiting would be worth it for a slice of cheesecake. So we waited for that too, another 10 minutes or so. Finally, the guy taking care of us comes back and informs us that the cheesecake is frozen and our only option is to take it home in a to go box and then we can enjoy it later when it has had time to thaw out. We declined, paid our check, and left. As we were getting up and gathering our belongings, they were immediately cleaning off the table. They had the entire table cleaned off before we even had the kids strapped into their car seats (we were parked in the front window so I could see our table perfectly from my car)
I'm not blaming the server for the issues we faced tonight, because the staffing of the restaurant isn't their fault. But the amount of time spent waiting on food and trying to entertain two hungry toddlers was atrocious. Please do better at hiring and scheduling enough people to cover the business. I only saw two servers the entire time I was there and they both looked frazzled.
What also baffles me is how to go orders were constantly coming in and out. We probably saw 20-30 to go orders come in and leave in a reasonable amount of time. It seemed like our poor server was the one serving our tables, running the register, and doing all the to go orders.

absolute worst experience i’ve ever dealt with at a restaurant. we got there at 5:30, waited for 2 hours for our food. everything came out at different times, the pizza was poor quality and our table was left unattended for over 30 minutes at a time. we asked for the manager to come talk to us because $50 for food we didn’t eat and had to wait so long for felt unreasonable. once we asked for the manager, we waited for over 30 minutes before we decided to just walk up to the counter because it was obvious they were set on ignoring us.
when i brought up my concerns asking for a discount, the manager i talked to was so rude, disrespectful, and defensive. she told me we hadn’t been there for 2 hours, and said the food came out the way we wanted it, and she said she could only give us $5 off. it was ridiculous!!! in the middle of me trying to reason with her, she turned around in the middle of my conversation and walked back into the kitchen. threatened to call the police after ignoring me, and was extremely unreasonable. avoid this restaurant at ALL. COSTS.
