I went on the night of the world cup but it wasn't too busy in there. Only thing is my waitress kept forgetting things. Other people in my party kept saying it was because she had another big party but idk, write it down so you dont forget.... idk. She also didnt bring me my change, I paid in cash. My burger was pretty damn good though!! I'll definitely go again, just didnt have the best first experience

The Bear foot Tavern is a classy upscale restaurant in downtown Macon. The decor is stunning. There are television screens on every wall throughout the restaurant which makes it a great place to watch a sporting event. On the day that I stopped in for a late lunch the United States was playing Australia in the World Cup. After being sifted the waitress served water to every member of my party without asking if we wanted water. She then left a carafe of water for the table. The appetizers came out shortly after placing our order. We ordered the fried green tomatoes. The looked delicious, but since they were prepared with bacon bites, I didn’t sample them. The waitress was extremely attentive to our table. I ordered grilled salmon topped with a sweet Thai Chili Sauce. The salmon was moist and delicious. It was served with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were flavorful and were some of the best mashed potatoes I had ever eaten. While the broccoli did not earn a superlative, it was fresh and delicious. I closed this meal with an order of bread pudding. It was crusty with a rich sauce. I throughly enjoyed the bread pudding, as well as, the meal and the ambiance of the restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Went with a group, got the food after everyone finished eating and the check process begin before I even got into my dish. It also tasted off, there's a weird taste that you can feel eating it but you can't quite understand what the flavor is. It's like mystery meat.
Compared to the photos online it looked extremely different. I got a kid sized meal for full price. Nobody in the group could say they'll go back for it not the alcoholic drinks.

This is our second visit and second review for the Bearfoot Tavern, spaced out a few years apart. Here's the deal. The service was friendly. No doubt. And my wife had the Dowell Burger which was amazing. But my other food, the Irish pizza, was not very good. My friend had the lemon pepper wings, which were also not very good. Sort of had a game-y taste. Again, the service was great and the staff are all great. Just not a huge fan of the food. They have a tendency to offer bland eats. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but if you like burgers, I think they do this great. The other items, i'm not too sure of. Also there was a homeless man sitting next to us who would NOT leave me alone the whole dining experience. I wish they could find a way to not permit them in. He had a beer, which tells me that he was a patron, but he kept begging me for shots and beer. It was annoying. In the restaurant's defense, I did not alert them to the issue. After I told him that I'm not buying him a shot sternly, he left. All in all, I'd go elsewhere.

Don’t bother making a reservation, as they do not appear to plan for or honor them. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested the dining room. When we arrived and mentioned our reservation, the hostess did not even check for it. Instead, she seated us in the bar area. When we explained that our reservation was for the dining room, she said it would be a 25-minute wait, without offering any apology or explanation.
We decided to keep the table she had given us, but after waiting another 10 minutes without any acknowledgment or service, we got up and left.
