On Father's Day after church, we enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant!! The wait was short, even without reservations and handled very nicely by the Hostess. We had options, so we sat at bar to checkout the flow during the morning 'brunch crunch'. Pace increased and productivity was very professional and harmoniously accurate. The cuisine ordered, catfish and grits with cheese scrambled eggs, it was incredibly plated and delicious !!! This a "top tier" joint!!! Well done!!!

I wanted to like it. My recommendation would be to NOT go between 12-3p I wanted the crab cakes Benedict but they didn’t have hollandaise sauce. I decided to get the crab cakes with a side of grits. The crab cakes were over done on the outside and under done on the insides. They were actually runny on the inside. I think if it were a Benedict it would have been better because I wouldn’t be able to tell which part was runny. Is it the sauce? Is it the egg? My daughter enjoyed her fish and grits but even that was pretty basic, something you could get at a lunch counter. The server was very “short” with us but she may have been ready to get off (hence the time recommendation). $150 dollars for 3 people. Over priced and underwhelming. This area is loaded with places to eat, find a better place for you and your party.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Scrum-did-dly-ump-tious in Lawrenceville, Georgia. My spouse and I waited well over an hour for just two entrées, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we finally received our drinks, the orange juice tasted watered down. When we politely asked for a refill, our waiter simply told us "no," which was both surprising and unprofessional. The food itself was nothing special. I would rate it a 3 out of 10 at best. Considering we paid approximately $56 for two pieces of catfish with grits and a chicken and waffles entrée, the quality and portion sizes did not justify the price at all. Poor service, excessive wait times, overpriced menu items, and disappointing food quality made this one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I will not be returning, and I would encourage others to think twice before spending their money here. There are far better restaurants in the area that value their customers and provide a much better overall experience.

The fish!!! Fried to perfection and cooked all the way through. For the table we had chicken and waffles, catfish and grits with the shrimp sauce, and catfish nuggets. And I got a free chunk of cornbread for my birthday. We had to pay for parking behind the building because of limited street parking. That was $11 for 2 hours. I wish they validated. The other option was to go a block up and over for free parking lot but it was got and we had a baby.

What a gem in Lawrenceville! While traveling through Georgia, I made it a personal mission to finally try collard greens, and Scrum-did-dly-ump-tious did not disappoint. The collards were absolutely excellent — flavorful, tender, and the kind of dish that makes you understand why people love Southern cooking. I also tried the cornbread pancakes, which I had never even heard of before, and they were fabulous. Such a creative and delicious twist on classic comfort food. My companion ordered the French toast, which came as two huge slices and was very much appreciated. We had several items from the menu, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and generously portioned. Joe took great care of us and added to the warm, welcoming experience. What made the visit even more special was learning about the restaurant’s history and its place in downtown Lawrenceville. You can tell this is more than just a brunch spot — it has heart, personality, and a story worth supporting. Scrum-did-dly-ump-tious truly lives up to its name. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and a memorable experience. I would absolutely recommend it and would gladly return.
