  If you are craving an authentic taste of NOLA right here in Lawrenceville, you need to check out Louisiana Shack on Lawrenceville - Suwanee Road. From the moment we walked in, the service staff (shoutout to Alicia!) made us feel incredibly welcome with their friendly, attentive, and down-to-earth hospitality. The food completely hits the mark. I had the Oyster Po'Boy Combo, and it immediately took me back to eating in NOLA—perfectly fried, crispy oysters tucked into the right kind of bread, served alongside hot fries and great hush puppies, wish there more hush puppies than frys but they were both good. My tablemate ordered the fried combo platter loaded with fish, shrimp, oysters, hush puppies, and fries, and he said it was absolutely awesome. Everything was fried to a perfect, golden crisp without being greasy. Great atmosphere, spot-on flavors, and top-notch service. We will definitely be back!

  I ordered 3 pounds of crawfish and the flavor was amazing. The seasoning was really good and overall the food was great. The only issue I had was that when trying to remove the tail meat from the shell, the meat would stick to the shell and was hard to pull out cleanly. Other than that, everything tasted great and I would still order again.

  As a Nola boi this place is 99% legit, that crawfish had me saying ughhh na na na na!!! The sit down area is clean, the servers are friendly, accommodating, and competent! No mo southern seafood in Decatur for me, glad I’ve found an excellent replacement close to home away from home. Will def be back often!

  Louisiana WHO? Louisiana WHERE!? Louisiana was NOT in the flavor or even the building. Red lobster has more flavor than this place, I’m appalled. Fish - flavorless and dry. Snow crab - mushy and flavorless. They don’t even have hot sauce or ketchup, wth. Everyone who lied in the reviews and said that this place was good owes me the $48 I wasted on this “food”.

  Found this place when I was living in Lawrenceville and looking for Louisiana style crawfish. It's really the only place where you get great flavor, without getting the tummy ache from all the butter sauces at the usual non loui seafood boil places. They boil/cook it in the seasoning, and it doesn't really need anything else but their creamy garlic butter pairs great with the crawfish. Place is clean and staff is friendly. Only complaint is that their crawfish is usually overcooked. I don't know what it is, but I've eaten in store, dine out, and delivery and its usually overcooked. Which isn't the end of the world but during live crawfish season it makes it annoying to eat because the meat is impossible to pull out the shell. Overall, I don't think it's a deal breaker I still think this is the best place to get your crawfish and you'll definitely start craving it regularly after the first time.
